That’s my parents at 14:44!! They visited Tsua’s school a couple weeks ago! We’re from Minnesota! It’s freak’n cold. Currently -5 degrees. That’s why we’re snow birds - we fly away to warm places when it gets cold.
Come to California, we have many Hmong here in Fresno. I’m Hispanic but I’ve been to Hmong new year many times, I have many Hmong friends. I love your culture and people. My friend is even married to a Hmong girl, they have two children. I love your food too!
I live in L.A. my dental hygienist is Hmong and moved back to Minnesota. Large Hmong community there. Love those stills!

Hmong new year is an annual celebration that takes place mostly towards the end of the year to honor the ancestors, spirits and give thanks for the completion of the year's harvest as well as to welcome in a new beginning. Ball tossing (Pov Pob) is a form of courtship between any single person to find them a partner. If you like any girls, you can go ask if they want to ball toss with you, if they show interest than they also like you.
Todd & Nini, this proves I'm not the only Hmong American fan. Wow.. so many Hmong Americans see you now. I’m originally from Fresno,California! I went to Hmong new year there 3 times. I grew up with many Hmong friends. I have a friend married to a Hmong woman, they have two children. I’m Mexican and Native American. I’ve always loved Asian people and your culture and food!

Very hot and humid all year. But much better than freezing, cold and snow. I’m from California and have several Hmong friends. I’ve been to their new year in Fresno many times. Good people and food!

Haven't been there for a few years, looking forward to our next visit though it's going to be months from now.
Love the guys shirt with the "Paxatoe, pardon my spelling" national monument on the front. I've one similar I picked up several years ago.
We did the balloon ride in Vang Ving as well as the boat ride that takes you through a cave where you dock inside and walk around.
It would be cool if you did something like that to kindle my memories.

Great video Todd. I was there on the first day and was hoping to catch you.
I'm in the same boat as Peter. I tried to find out the actual date of the event but couldn't wait any longer to buy plane tickets because they were getting more and more expensive. Only after I bought my tickets did they announced the dates for the event. Unfortunately I only got to go to the first day before I had to travel to Vientiane because I was leaving Laos on the 26th.
Thank you. It really does make it difficult for international tourists to plan when dates are so hard to find. Hopefully you can return another year 👍

I followed Todd and Nene because they showed so much of different parts of Laos.
Buddha Park was cool as well. I recall a huge round head that one could walk into to see more stone carvings ultimately popping on to the roof, top of the head of the sculpture, to get a breath-taking view of Buddha Park.

Phonsavan is an amazing town. It had many old russian cars driving around when i was there about 20 years ago. Everything seemed to be made from a UXB
