    Hey thanks for the walkthrough man mine and your truck we’re having the same problems it would run weird and just not go until you floor it but the good thing is she’s good to go now thanks

    I this this is my issue with my truck, it’ll idle really rough and the RPM will sit around 1100-1150, then suddenly drop to 7-800, the die, but if i give it more gas of course it won’t die, glad i found this video thank you!

      There's also an Idle control valve nearby that you should clean. Make sure you clean it in the vertical position so the fluid drains down and out (upside down and fluid goes inside the solinoid)

    1. love the igy6; tattoo. i have the exact same one on my left inner arm. 2. i am thinking of doing the same to my 92 bronco. it starts and idles ok, but when given gas, it acts like it wants to die, but after a half a second, will rev up. if you put the pedal down fast enough it will die, but gradual revving will hesitate for a split second, then rev. I have changed out other sensors with no luck. hoping this works! thanks for the walk through.

    I bought mines with an iddle issue and plenty of other problems. This is the one I'm taking on soon. Only question is, did you had to burp your cooling system after putting back the lines?

    I’m having trouble with my 90 f250 351w. It’s hard to get started then when it does start its very rich running, misfiring from tailpipe and through intake. It was being driven for a short time like this when I noticed two plug wires were wrong. Fixed that, new plugs wires and rotor. New map sensor. And since it was backfiring and running so rich I removed throttle body and cleaned everything. Everything had horrible build up on it. iac was cleaned and moved freely. I left the tbs on it. Egr appears to be clean. I just got a new ignition coil I’m putting on tomorrow. I wonder if it’s a bad tbs. Also have new o2 sensors to put on. It won’t even start now. Almost seems like it’s just dumping way to much fuel in. It smells like gas bad just from cranking the starter. So I’m thinking possible tbs, crankshaft sensor, ignition control module on the distributor or pickup coil inside. If not any of that’s I guess I need to test fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and injectors. Anyone have any advice. I’m just a backyard figure it out kinda guy. I’m not expert so any ford guys please help me out. It’s driving me nuts

    Question.
    I have the 5.8l fuel injection in my 93 E150 Club Wagon Van. When cold the idle goes up and down and when I go down an incline shortly after like from 2nd floor garage to 1st floor, the idle drops almost to stall.
    Sometimes at low speeds, giving it minimal gas,it does the same other wise it runs nice can't hardly hear it.
    Any advice.

    Mine would low idle then pickup and i replaced the PCV Valve made sure it fit good and snug and it quit trying too die you all try it

    When you would give it gas would it slowly climb up the rpms?

    Did you have trouble staring it up once it would die? I'm having similar problems

      I don't think I got to the point of starting issues, mine were mainly idling issues. Sometimes it would be idling high, other times it would act like it was starved for fuel. If yours is doing the same thing, the TPS could be the issue. Worst case scenario, you have a new TPS and still have the issues. Best case scenario, your problems disappear.

      @@bettythe95bronco57 my 89 bronco is doing exactly what yours was doing rough idle surging and stalling from time to time in stop and go traffic
      did this problem rob a lot of power and mpg? im talking like 20% or more because im thinking about tackling this soon but it winter and cold
      but if thats whats causing it ill tackle it 100% asap

      I did notice more power, but I honestly wasn't tracking my mpg closely. I lived 3 minutes from work, so I was filling up $20 here and there. I think at one point I guesstimated about 8 mpg. After moving, I now live about 10 minutes from work and I cruise more than I used to and I get about 11.5 mpg. Could be because I'm doing less stop and go or it could have been the TPS, I honestly don't know. It's easy enough to do though, so it wouldn't hurt if you swapped it out.

      Tracing my problem to idle control module. Thanks for info on throttle body removal. No start when warmed up.

    Changed this an now my rpm at idle is about 2,000. No, I do not have a vac. Leak, I can hear my IAC open all the way. Any ideas anyone?

      It was the IAC valve. I replaced mine but when I connect it. It idles weird. I have a video on my page that I recently did. Idk what it could be. Idk if you might know?? Help would be appreciate it.

      +Dgaf909 my idle was all over the place and my engine would sometimes stall when I came to a stop
