Totally agree, the difference in the interior component's vs the exterior and chassis differences will bog you down. The chassis differences will be minimal and should be unbolt on bolt on from the fire damaged one and you will have a newer coach.
I agree, more parts on the damaged one than on the burned one so I agree, make the burnt one for parts (if possible) and rebuild the damaged engine one.
Don't know about frames but that fiberglass body would be a major to fix. They may be able to cut the front off the burnt one to put on it if the impact didn't cause any twisting or delamination further back. Still be a massive job though.
The bed has two pins that you have to release before lowering the bed, there was one behind the driver seat in the corner and one behind the passenger seat in the opposite corner.
I know jack about these types of rebuilds' economics, but I would be moving the engine from the other one into this one after fixing the frame damage. I own a 2017 Thor RV and I can say I would never want that other RV after what it went through with all that foam smoke inside. The F53 chassis these are usually built on seems like it would be straightforward to rebuild.
$4750 for that!! So perfect for your situation! So many parts that you need. It would be sweet to see you fix that frame and salvage the newer one using the burnt one, if possible.
Hello from France you are very strong to be able to repair everything in any kind great idea you have the vein and also the courage to do it we here in France have no right to anything if not craftsman or confirm garage with approval can at More to make 5 cars per year if it is particular !!!! must open the market of motorhomes to repair for France !!!!!
Halfway through the walk through I was saying fix the crash damage one. By the end of the video I am sticking with that thought. Use the burnt one as the parts rv. Love your builds.
Noooooooo don’t part it build both. I love watching you guys using the frame machine. Build both. I’m curious how you will fix the fiberglass. Build both !!!! LETS GO !!!
Would suggest that you get another RV and swap all parts you need for two (whichever seems best from three). Looking forward to your next video on these projects. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe 🇬🇧
Gute that new R/V. I worked in an R/V factory and trust me when I say you made a major score. You can use that bedroom slide on your first R/V. Just so you know that 3-way fridge is 3K easy even used.
I agree with all of the other posts that say fix the newer one. You stated that you have a Frame straighter. The new one can get all of the mechanicals from the burned out one. You will not have to deal with smoke anymore.
Find another damaged RV for under $5k. Fix up two with parts from the third. I think you can get better returns by selling two refurbished RVs. Keep us posted with this project and stay safe. Cheers! Liked and Subbed!
Use the burned one for parts and fix the newer one . You have front end motor you can use. Ass auther have said you never get the smoke smell out of it. Great video.
windshield is different on the 2017 than the burnt one might cause you issues if you try and use the front end of the other one. The 2017 has the newer 6 speed transmission than the other one. couch doesn't fit. the awning on the 2017 you just push the button you don't have to hold the button down it also has a wind sensor and will close by itself if it gets too windy. pretty sure the 2017 is a stretched e450 frame and the other is a shorter stretched frame and is probably the e350.
Honestly I would use the front-end parts from the burnt ones to fix this new one. It will take way way more work to do it the other way around. Also you will never ever completely get the smell out of that burnt one. You have everything you need to fix to fix this new one using the burnt one. PLUS all of the extra parts left over I bet would pay for 1st one and maybe he 2nd one too!
The bed above the cabin has pins in the sides to prevent it from falling on the passengers. The long tank thing is the black tank and it has an opening so you can install a tank cleaner. (We have a 2016 Vegas) Also, a Thor Axis is the same as the Vegas😁 they are sold in different markets.
Create a totally bespoke vehicle - slide out side and rear, transfer over all the interior parts, electrics and best of both in terms of running gear. Modern design with extra sleep space. Would also make a great series.
Since there was no airbag deployment, and it definitely had a hard hit, it is very likely the ignition was OFF at the time. In other words, probably parked! Looks like a perfect donor interior! Swap out everything and you will have a virtually new unit! You will also have a warehouse of various RV parts for future use! By the way, the Ford 6.8 V-10 is a beast. Had a Class C on an E-450 chassis, and it could sit for a year in the garage, and started just like "Bernie". I think the gas tank on the RV chassis are all about 50 gallons.
Wow nice interior could fix newer on and mabe find another one to fix the burnt one ???? Which is the cheapest way but its going to be hard to get rid of the burnt smell
Strip the burned one! Use the frame and front cap off the burned one on three wrecked one!! Will be a much quicker, simpler rebuild and you will be chasing way fewer gremlins than if you try to fix the burned one. Your gonna buy a windshield either way! Your idiots if you attempt to rebuild the burned one in my opinion and from my experience. If it got hot enough in there to melt that TV then it’s possible if has caused shell damage you haven’t seen yet! I wish you luck either way!! Look for another one out there tho before you commit to either India and see if there might be another one that had minor theft damage or something and see what you can do but truly guys, I’m rooting for ya either way you go! Only you guys will know what’s right for you and I’ll support any decision you guys make!!
Great buy. Before you start tearing it apart i would find out the costs to fix the front and rear ends. May be better to fix this one. Whatever you guys decide it will make for some great videos.
Fix both and sell what one you like the least. The problem I see with using the new interior on the burnt RV is fitment. It would be nice if it was like legos and everything just swapped over perfectly, but I doubt that’s the case here. Either way you go I’ll be here to watch.
Fix the front end and back end with parts of the burnt RV and also build in the slide-out from the driver's side. Repairing the burnt pats is a lot of work and as an old firefighter I can tell you, you never completely get rid of the burnt smell. The fire extinguisher they used btw was filled with natrium bicarbonate powder. (that white stuff on the dashboard) In other words very fine salt. In time all that is made from rubber and electronics parts in your RV will be eaten away by corrosion. So my advice is to salvage the parts you need and let it finish what it was started ;-) Good luck guys !!
When I saw you working on the first one, I thought about how cool it would be to gut it down the shell and build it out brand new. You took the slide out, and I would be thinking about how to rebuild it without the slide. By gutting it, you avoid most of the smoke problems, because you would completely remove all the smoke impregnated fabrics and wood work. However, you found quite a number of wiring problems, and that could be an issue as well, though less if you gut it and rewire virtually everything, from scratch.
Most easy would be putting the front from the good one on the new one if the structure in itself is still straight , and maybe sell the burned on in parts on ebay or auction......or keep it away for a future build........nice to see your videos coming more often.......
I would definitely try and repair the new one it would be a shame to damage it I’m pretty sure you could repair the new one and it’s in better condition.
Great video guys! I vote for fixing this one with the outside/chassis from the other one, trying to get the interior from this one into the other would be close to impossible since they are different layouts, wiring, plumbing, etc. is all going to be different, not to mention the slide. Good luck 👍
If anybody can make it happen you guys can with your skills I think you should try to fix both of them you got a great deal on it on the flipside you can always sell one and make a great profit I think is a win-win God bless
Another great video, my wife and I would love one of those, and wish we could find something even close to those prices in the UK. Keep the content on the RV repairs coming guys. BTW a great brotherly relationship you guys have, I wished my brother and I were that close.
as much as I'd say rob parts off the burned one, getting the fiberglass work matched up, and waterproofed will be a heck of a challenge if you try to mate the two front ends onto the crashed one. I would personally have a slide on the side vs. back so you have more common space too. Big bedrooms are nice, but at least they way my family camps, we use more family space vs. sleeping quarters. The bonus I could see to repair the crashed one however is no smoke smell, and you won't be chasing frozen plumbing forever like the burn unit. Plumbing and wiring in RVs is always a chore.
You guys need to live where i do. Elkhart Indiana, RV capital of the world. I worked in the rv industry for years. Have done everything from chassis prep to final finish. If you need it for an rv, you can find it here.
All you need to do to get smoke smell out is open containers of ammonia! Very cheap and you need to change it occasionally as the ammonia smell dies down it probably isn’t extracting odours anymore! I poured ammonia in old mugs and sat them in window sills of a house to get out smoke smell! It’s worth a try!
id agree with alot of comments fix the crashed one for sure id even go and transfer the other slideout to this one (if you want to go with a dual slideout) would be far less work to fix the crashed one then to tear down and rebuild the fire one
i think you should fix both of them...this 2017 that you bought for parts i think its easily fixable..just fix the front end and you good to go in fact it seems to be more modern and clean. the other one just needs the interior sorted and if you can find a way of doing away with the "SMOKE SMELL" then you good to go...its a win win for the two RV vans
The burnt on will always smell of smoke unless you strip it bare and spray with aluminum paint. Fix the newer one to new condition, build out the fire damaged one. Or use for yard trunk
Fix the crashed one, the burnt one will always ha a smell to it no matter what you do. For extra points you can transplant the slide from the burnt one onto the crashed one and get twin slides!
Nice job buying another one, have to look wich one you can fix the fastest. Because summer time you can get the most money for it.👍(Edit for parts this would also be worth it of course)
Dang guys!!! I just realized where your at and your only a couple hours from me!! Hot Dang Dudes!! That’s fricken awesome! Don’t know why it is but it is, lol 🤪! I’m up south east of Greensboro NC just a bit. Let the work begin boys!!
Swap the burned engine and front end to the newer one. The new one has a great interior. The smoke smell would always be an issue if you fix the burned one.
As a owner of similar model the bed over front end has 2 pins that need to be taken out before it will come down. Love watching the process. I would be interested in buying 1 of the wheels if u are interested in selling 1 because u will notice none of models come with a spare?
Seems a great buy, I personally think repair the burnt out one, I’d strip the burnt out one down and see how much hard work is in it. After using the interior on the smashed one, I’m sure you will have loads of parts to sell to recoup your 5000
Even if the good interior was a straight swap (which it probably isn’t) you would have to TOTALLY strip and clean completely the burnt ones interior first which is a HUGE job. If the front ends are a potential straight swap/graft, then I’m liking fix the chassis and polish up on your fibreglassing skills. Then sell whatever parts are left, generator, tanks, pumps, windows, engine, differential etc and scrap the rest. Cheers 🍻
Tough decision. The interiors have totally different layouts so a swap there might not be in the cards. If the front ends are interchangeable, that might be the way to go. I know you guys will figure it out.
I would try and rebuild the crash damaged one ,and put the side slide onto it and make a one-off,think of the extra space it would look the muts nuts ,only found your channel today love the content already 🦢
Nice, that is giving me hope , that someday I can get one like this, and fix it up. 😊 thank you, tell us , how much it will be to get it fix the crash one first please, will appreciate it.
Burnt one will always smell of the fire....I says fix the crashed damaged one 👍🏻👍🏻
Definitely fix the new RV with the parts from the fire damaged RV... you'll never get the smell of smoke out.
Totally agree, the difference in the interior component's vs the exterior and chassis differences will bog you down. The chassis differences will be minimal and should be unbolt on bolt on from the fire damaged one and you will have a newer coach.
I agree 100%
Use the burn out one as parts for your recent purchase. Your new purchase is more modern and the front end of the burnout RV could be used.
Thinking that would be a lot less work. Heck, add the slide out from the 2015 to the 2017 also and have a mack daddy rig!
Use the front of the burnt one. It may be easier than ripping out the interior.
I agree with Phil W. Fix the crashed one using the burnt ones front end.
I agree too, much easier to repair and will retain the good smell
for sure easier to hide the mechanical fixes and front end work than doing the entire interior swap.
I think I would go for trying to fix the crash damaged one, seems a shame to rip that great interior out!
thats what i was just thinking slap the front end parts from the burnt one
I agree, more parts on the damaged one than on the burned one so I agree, make the burnt one for parts (if possible) and rebuild the damaged engine one.
@@scubasteve2132 Yeah looks like it's fiberglass, maybe consult someone who works with fiberglass repairs on boats.
Don't know about frames but that fiberglass body would be a major to fix. They may be able to cut the front off the burnt one to put on it if the impact didn't cause any twisting or delamination further back. Still be a massive job though.
If that one can be fixed i would rather have that one than the burnt one but if not a lot of good parts
you will never get the smoke smell out of that RV. strip off the damaged front end to see if it can be rebuilt
Parts! You’ve saved a ton getting another one for parts you probably have 90% of the things you need for under 5k! Love this channel!
Yes I agree with some comments, part the burnt one out and fix the accident damaged one it looks much better.
The bed has two pins that you have to release before lowering the bed, there was one behind the driver seat in the corner and one behind the passenger seat in the opposite corner.
If doable I would fix the new one, love the channel.
swap everything over and use that chassis as a flat bed yard truck lol
I think you should grab the burnt one for parts and restore this one. It's much nicer and less work.
I agree.
agree!!
I agree as well.
100%
Best way to go, fighting the smell from the fire will be a tough go even with the swap
I know jack about these types of rebuilds' economics, but I would be moving the engine from the other one into this one after fixing the frame damage. I own a 2017 Thor RV and I can say I would never want that other RV after what it went through with all that foam smoke inside. Fix the new one! You will be chasing smoke damage on the other forever .
Agreed. So true about smoke
I agree you will olways smell the moke and this is a new model giff you more profit
$4750 for that!! So perfect for your situation! So many parts that you need. It would be sweet to see you fix that frame and salvage the newer one using the burnt one, if possible.
Fix them both!! You Guys can do it. If there is a will there is a way.
Yes boys repair the crashed one from the burnt one I agree you may have trouble with smells great project brave challenge stay safe 👍👨🏻🏭🇬🇧
Fix both ,smoke will always linger . Love your videos .
Hello from France you are very strong to be able to repair everything in any kind great idea you have the vein and also the courage to do it we here in France have no right to anything if not craftsman or confirm garage with approval can at More to make 5 cars per year if it is particular !!!! must open the market of motorhomes to repair for France !!!!!

found the Niko Brother site a week ago.binge watch.up to date now.
Would suggest that you get another RV and swap all parts you need for two (whichever seems best from three). Looking forward to your next video on these projects. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe 🇬🇧
Good idea!
Based on the price you purchased them, you won't be wrong in any choice you take. I would suggest to purchase a third saveable one.
You guys are absolutely bloody amazing thank you so much love watching your channel
I say use all of it. Make one real nice one and then either flip it or go out on a heck of a road trip. Enjoy the outdoors.......
Gute that new R/V. I worked in an R/V factory and trust me when I say you made a major score. You can use that bedroom slide on your first R/V. Just so you know that 3-way fridge is 3K easy even used.
You guys a great one turn around building these things I like what I say I wish I can do it but I like watching the videos very expiring
I have a Thor Axis 24.1. Love your channel. Depends on the engine. Frame can be fixed and replace front cap. It can be purchased from Thor. Have fun !
The interior of the new one looks gorgeous. Really well put together. Not an easy answer. 😕 Really enjoy your videos.
Gut the burned one and repair the 2017 with it!!! I'm excited to see your progress!
Its clear that opinion supports rebuild of the newer one. Agree, also burnt smell not possible to remove.
I agree with all of the other posts that say fix the newer one. You stated that you have a Frame straighter. The new one can get all of the mechanicals from the burned out one. You will not have to deal with smoke anymore.

Use the burned one for parts and fix the newer one . You have front end motor you can use. Ass auther have said you never get the smoke smell out of it. Great video.
In my opion, I would get the newer one back on the road.
More $$$$$ at the end.
Crazy you managed to get two almost identical.
👍😎👍🇬🇧🇺🇸MDS

keep doing what you do NIKO brothers.😎
Fix them both. Keep one. Sale one. You can do it. Parts are mucho cheap and available.
The bed above the cabin has pins in the sides to prevent it from falling on the passengers.
The long tank thing is the black tank and it has an opening so you can install a tank cleaner.
(We have a 2016 Vegas)
Also, a Thor Axis is the same as the Vegas😁 they are sold in different markets.
Thank you! Switch everything out!! I changed my mind, no one wants a smoked out RV fox the front end of the damage one.✅
You guys are so cool. Bob Miller from Portland Oregon
Create a totally bespoke vehicle - slide out side and rear, transfer over all the interior parts, electrics and best of both in terms of running gear. Modern design with extra sleep space. Would also make a great series.

Don’t forget the leveling jacks underneath the rig!! Those I’m sure will sell well!! Especially in good working order with lubed up seals!!
Wow nice interior could fix newer on and mabe find another one to fix the burnt one ???? Which is the cheapest way but its going to be hard to get rid of the burnt smell

Love the RV built awesome
Such an interesting series loving it.

+1 on swapping the parts off the burnt RV to this one.
I'm sure you guys will figure out what's best. I really like the interior of the newer RV.

Thats one brilliant deal you have got well done.
Fix number two with the front of number one.
Yes the cabin of this one on the front of the other RV
You guys need to live where i do. Elkhart Indiana, RV capital of the world. I worked in the rv industry for years. Have done everything from chassis prep to final finish. If you need it for an rv, you can find it here.

Exactly what I was going to say. Dual slideouts would be nice.
I suggest putting the good front end/engine/trans etc onto this one. You may never get the smell out of the burned unit. Go for it.
Nice purchase 👌
i think you should fix both of them...this 2017 that you bought for parts i think its easily fixable..just fix the front end and you good to go in fact it seems to be more modern and clean. the other one just needs the interior sorted and if you can find a way of doing away with the "SMOKE SMELL" then you good to go...its a win win for the two RV vans
I would say repair both cars. You have the skills to repair both.
Really cool project
The burnt on will always smell of smoke unless you strip it bare and spray with aluminum paint. Fix the newer one to new condition, build out the fire damaged one. Or use for yard trunk
Niko Brothers RVs channel!
Fix the crashed one, the burnt one will always ha a smell to it no matter what you do. For extra points you can transplant the slide from the burnt one onto the crashed one and get twin slides!
Nice, love to see a combo of this inside with the other chassis and structure.
Nice job buying another one, have to look wich one you can fix the fastest. Because summer time you can get the most money for it.👍(Edit for parts this would also be worth it of course)
Interior on the newer one is really nice anyway, but you have to make a choise.
Dang guys!!! I just realized where your at and your only a couple hours from me!! Hot Dang Dudes!! That’s fricken awesome! Don’t know why it is but it is, lol 🤪! I’m up south east of Greensboro NC just a bit. Let the work begin boys!!
Fredericksburg lol 45mins from me! How cool
Yup I would fix the newer one I agree smoke damage and the smell...
Use the crashed one, take the front off the burnt one, would be easier than interior swapping !
I would use the inside parts from the new one, and frame fix the other and sell with motor. One hell of a buy for 4k!
Swap the burned engine and front end to the newer one. The new one has a great interior. The smoke smell would always be an issue if you fix the burned one.
Would say fix the front end damaged one before the burnt one
Great video!
As a owner of similar model the bed over front end has 2 pins that need to be taken out before it will come down. Love watching the process. I would be interested in buying 1 of the wheels if u are interested in selling 1 because u will notice none of models come with a spare?
I would definitely fix this one!
repair the fire damage. Will the hardware from 2017 slide out work on the fire damage one
Combine the two. Use the newer one as a base to build a really nice one with 2 slides. The smoke smell will never be gone from the burned one.
Fix this one is clean, the burn one will not get rid of the bad smell and a lot of more work
Seems a great buy, I personally think repair the burnt out one, I’d strip the burnt out one down and see how much hard work is in it. After using the interior on the smashed one, I’m sure you will have loads of parts to sell to recoup your 5000
The burnt unit's sidewall slide creates a roomier interior, but the crashed vehicle is the wiser choice. Could the side slide be adapted to the 2017?
Even if the good interior was a straight swap (which it probably isn’t) you would have to TOTALLY strip and clean completely the burnt ones interior first which is a HUGE job.
If the front ends are a potential straight swap/graft, then I’m liking fix the chassis and polish up on your fibreglassing skills.

Tough decision. The interiors have totally different layouts so a swap there might not be in the cards. If the front ends are interchangeable, that might be the way to go. I know you guys will figure it out.
Best channel!
I would try and rebuild the crash damaged one ,and put the side slide onto it and make a one-off,think of the extra space it would look the muts nuts ,only found your channel today love the content already 🦢
Nice, that is giving me hope , that someday I can get one like this, and fix it up. 😊 thank you, tell us , how much it will be to get it fix the crash one first please, will appreciate it.
use the burnt front end to repair this one i would say ! it will be easier than removing all the interior, lot less work
