You too. Looking forward to deer season every year. Good times. Wish the deer numbers were better in the area but good times at camp are sure to be had.
Yeah, depending on what type of land you hunt I believe you should take the stands down on public land in Minnesota. I’m not certain what the rules are for state trust land which a lot of the area is. For sure the forest service land those stands have to come down at the end of the season.
Very slow year of duck hunting at our remote cabin near Buyck the flights of woodies and mallards never showed this year few ringers and geese but not like most years for us we also have one deer left good luck in the deer woods
Yeah, we have a lot of public land in Minnesota. Where I hunt there are 4-6 deer per sq mile. However, we also have less than 1 hunter per square mile. Good luck this season!
@@arrowheadangler there are 70 deer to the square mile here and getting a deer is no problem but,,don’t let it get on the neighbors three acres or they might deny you to retrieve it ,,we really have it too easy for getting a deer , we all are spoiled, however we must make good shots with a strong caliber to get our deer ,, in April of this year I had 18 different bucks in my yard every day.
@@arrowheadangler yes but only five does left at end of season which is January first ,,two of them are very old ten and eleven years old ,,been with me a long time ,,I plant one acre of Austrian winter peas every fall and they stay green as golf corse grass all winter ,,also I plant one third of an acre in turnip n mustard greens ,,every fall ,,they don’t get to eating good until every acorn is gone. The 11 year old has gave birth and raised 21 bucks and one doe since she came here. One year 2021 she had four baby bucks and raised all four of them ,,two of them are still with me.
If the feds delist them I know that the Mn DNR would like to have a season. Our governor doesn’t seem to be on board though. Makes sense to manage the predators as you are already managing their number prey species.
so hypothetical situation. If a subscriber were to show up at the dock with all his hunting gear as well as food and beverage; what is the likelihood of hitching a ride? asking for a friend. 😁
Man, over on long lake and pelican river, i have never had such a terrible duck season as i did this year. Earlier i did real well on woodies, but after they pushed out i havent found any birds to replace them. Grouse hunting in the area has been on fire though.
Tell me about it, worst duck hunting I’ve had in years. Think I took down 4 ducks all season (well maybe partially because I can’t shoot well). Then as it freezes up last weekend I was thinking it’s going to be awesome and nothing. Grouse are everywhere. Haven’t seen much for deer sign but that’s to be expected.
@@arrowheadangler yep. Thought with the cold last weekend I'd be set up to beat thier asses pretty good, and then 1 mallard one day, and one ringer the next. That was all the birds I saw all weekend. I'm glad to hear another local Had a tough season as well and it wasn't just me. Lol I knew I should have went south instead of north last weekend. Haven't had an ass kicking like that for a good many years.
You can find hunting videos all over the internet but channels like this actually make you feel part of the hunt. Great job.
Appreciate that you like the videos. I’ll be sure to make more. Deer camp starts on Saturday!
What an awesome camp. You're lucky to have such a place. Love your videos
Appreciate it! Definitely a fun camp and remote. We can go for miles without seeing a person, or deer for that matter 😂
@@arrowheadangler yeah, I've heard that the deer herd in northern regions have taken a dive. Might be a predator issue.. 🤫
The trip is the best part, getting there is the reward.
Looks like a piece of heaven!
I dream of this place every day I am away.
Just came across your channel. If I had a camp like that I'd be living there. Absolutely beautiful country!!!!! New Sub
Really appreciate it. A lot of work goes into camp but the memories are worth all of the effort!
good luck to you, and your crew!this deer season
Thank you! You too! Hope to see some nice deer hit the dirt this season. If not, it’ll still be a good time at camp!
Thank you for keeping it real. Love the channel. You guys are alright for a bunch of Yankees!!!!
Dennis
Haha! Appreciate it! I’m pretty excited to build my new cabin on the property next year. Been milling wood the last few seasons so should be ready!
Good luck boys and girls
👊🤯👍
Thanks!
Nice video love the camp. Good luck this deer season!🦌🦌

Love the hunting camp experience.
Appreciate it! We didn’t see much this season but had a great time!
Hey.. I do that too..great stuff
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching!
I wish the state of Wisconsin allowed you to keep tree stands up year round in the Northwoods

Was extremely slow; however, we did get some good shooting during deer season. Very few deer but the birds decided to show up!
You guys are extremely lucky ,,down here in NC we are lucky to have three acres we can deer hunt on

Wow! 18! That’s awesome. I think there might be 18 bucks in my entire area I hunt!

Wow! You really know your deer. I’m not sure if we’ve ever come across the same deer even in a season. They roam so much!
I am wondering how long before MN issues wolf tags.

Looked like 2nd Grizz was in H rather than Neutral for towing.....at least the way my 2014 and 2023 are geared....
Really? It was certainly in neutral but that’s interesting that they are different.
Ground swatters!
If you ain’t swatting you ain’t trying!😂

In first.
Nice!

Nice camp, make meat!
Meat is what it’s all about!
