I'm guessing these reactions were recorded within 1-2 days. One correction the Coke Studio TH-cam channel only focuses on Pakistani Artists (All 14 Seasons except one which brought in Turkish Artists as well) as it is a show that originated in Pakistan. Created by Royal Hyatt of famed Vital Signs. Seeing it's popularity Its was later adapted in different countries each of which has its own channel. The latest of which is Coke Studio Bangla (Bangladesh). Hope this clears it up.

The woman is the guys older sister. And she is a popular artist on her own. Although she appeared on Coke Studio several times already, this particular track focused on enhancing her talent. This is the very first time the siblings have collaborated. I recommend watching the Coke Studio Magical Journey for each song. Things well fall into better perspective for you.

Faris is like first proper rapper of Pakistan. Her sister Meesha was first female rockstar (female vocalist of a rockband). Meesha has acted in hollywood movie (n indian cinema too.) I want you to react on Faris first rap song "Awam" which came in 2012. He mocks social evils, he is not a bragger.

Great take on the song, Jim. I feel like Faris Shafi is a great rapper but he does come across a little self-obsessed lol. Meesha is his sister. U have seen Faris as the 2nd rapper in Ye Dunya song. In that song too, there was some critique that his lyrics were all about me, me, and me when the song was about the struggles of the world, u know. But I didn’t mind it there. It just kind of flowed well altogether.
I won’t write an essay here because I don’t know much about both of them. I just know that they are talented siblings and children of a very successful and talented Pakistani television actress. I feel like the whole topic of nepotism comes in the picture too because they obviously got opportunities in life that were readily available to them vs. Someone who comes from the ground up on their own. But I also think that nepotism only takes artists to a certain distance; for them to be make a niche for themselves, their talents have to speak in the long run or else they are unforgettable. These siblings duo are talented and therefore, have been in the industry for a while now.

Rap is mostly not about what you say but How you say it . It is more ego centric so I understand what youre saying but trust me Pakistan has an Elite rapper there , his genius is off the roof you must listen to his other songs , Love from India .

Just to let you know! Hee talking about the world trying to bring him down but he's a fighter and would stand strong like a cyclone. So if you feel his emotions, you may like it. You got wrong with Faris Shafi. He is definitely a different kind of rapper! He raps in 3 different languages switching easily between them! Usually he disses the society not rapper. React to his songs: Jawab de, waasta and Hum.
He actually has no idea about the socio-political context behind the song and the singers. Faris is frikkin awesome and undoubtedly outstanding.
For spiritual stuff, on same channel of coke studio you must listen to "Tu Jhoom" (Season 14), but if you wanna have hit hard kinda experiene in the spiritual realm, just try to listen to "Bol Hu" song from Nescafe Basement Season 5. That's my suggestion and request as well bro. All the best.
