  • Watch me paint this beautiful Purple and Green Acrylic Dot Mandala step by step... these videos are done to give you some inspiration to create your own personal designs...
    The purple colour is a Global acrylic paint called Stormy... with both black and white mixed to give the different shades then mixed with Pouring Medium at a ratio approximately 3 parts paint and 1 part medium and water added to get desired consistency... this is never an exact formula, even within the same brand... so just experiment... and have fun!
    The Green is a mix of a heap of different mica powders blended with Paper Mill Mixing Fluid...
    This is a 20cm round MDF board. The guidelines are drawn using a watercolour pencil... rings are 1cm apart and the star shape is added to give me some inspiration only... a starting point so to speak... I pretty much make it up as I go along.. I never have a plan! Drawing random shapes and designs help me along the way... That is the fun bit... I like a challenge...
    The Ball Stylus Dotting tools I am using in the video are from the McGill Paper Blossoms Tool Kit and the dotting rods are from Happy Dotting Company...

      Awww... thanks so much... a simple ice-cream stick is definitely my favourite tool! It makes you look at every object differently... I'm constantly thinking... what sort of mark would that make? 🤔 Glad you are enjoying watching... 🥰

    Love your designs. They are very unique with great colour combinations. Just a suggestion.. could you please include the name of the color and the paint you are using in your videos. Also, love the popsicle technique which creates a unique pattern.

      Thanks... I will add colours in the future where possible... I have been waiting for my links in the description to be 'clickable' so you can go straight to the product... (this has only just happened... there was a waiting time as I am a 'newbie') a lot of the time they are my own mixes... the green in this one was a mix of a heap of mica powders with mixing fluid... wasn't really intending to use it but love how it turned out... wish I was paying attention... the purple colour is called Stormy by Global... I got it years ago... it is discontinued so I didn't list it... I spent nearly 10 years working in an art store so a lot of my paints are limited edition colours... but I will definitely still list them... thanks for taking the time to comment... glad you liked it... 🥰

    Can u give us name of color please. Ur color coordinating is awesome!!

    • @wildwicksgifts
      @wildwicksgifts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi... the purple colour is actually a discontinued Global paint colour called Stormy with both black and white mixed with it and the green was a mix of mica powders with a mixing fluid... I can't remember what they were as it was a bit of a mad science experiment gone right and decided to use it.... a happy accident... going forward I will add the colour names and links where possible... 🥰

    HOW DO YOU REMOVE CHOCK LINES.?

    • @wildwicksgifts
      @wildwicksgifts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi... I just wait for it to dry completely and use a damp kitchen sponge to gently wipe it off... I have a special one I use only for my paintings... not for the dishes... I use Derwent watercolour pencils for my lines instead of chalk... It comes of so much easier and has a nicer surface to paint on... 😊
