Code Geass is a very well known anime with probably one of the most highly regarded endings of all time. It's an anime that focuses on the story of Lelouch, an exiled and abandoned prince of the "Holy Empire of Brittania" and how he makes a deal with a mysterious witch in order to find out just how his mother was murdered. It heavily features racism, politics, clashing ideologies, and (because it's Japan) giant Mechas. To give you an idea of what it's like, one of my favorite quotes from Lelouch is "If there is an evil you cannot defeat by just means, should you stain your hands with evil to destroy the evil, or should you remain steadfast in your justice and surrender to evil?" Would highly recommend watching it yourself, or even putting it up as a react series on your second channel for when you finish DBZ abridged, if you want. Also, some pronunciations if you were curious: Lelouch - Is french "Leh-loosh". Typically thought to mean "The shady one" or "The suspicious one" Geass - Celtic. "Gee" (as in 'Geek') + "oss" (similar to 'Oz'). A magical contract between two parties, where one is typically a fey, that curses any party that breaks the terms of their agreement.

Code Geass was huge when it was around. It was just two seasons, then years later a movie and another season. The original two seasons were phenomenal and ranked up in most people's top 5. It didn't get the mass popularity that 500 episode shows did, but it's excellently written and executed. Highly recommend.

And while both Light and Lelouch use less than moral means to achieve their respective ends it is the ends which make these two completely different. Light resolved to use the Death Note to purge evil from the world, and in so doing become the god of said world. Am ultimately selfish act driven by his his ego. But Lelouch sought to create a world in which his sister Nunally could live happily, and sacrificed his happiness in the process. An ultimately selfless act driven by his love for his sister. I get where you’re coming from, but at the end of the day the only things that these shows have in common is that they both have giga brain protagonists, and are meant for a more mature audience
People underrate Code Geass too much, the anime is fantastic, but people just don't appreciate how realistic the topics explored are, it's one of the best anime of all time.

I can't begin to express how ecstatic I am that you finally reacted to this song lol but on a legit note, the anime this is inspired from (code Geass-prnounced gee-oss) is a phenomenal anime in the fact that it makes you feel the pain and understanding that Lelouch (le-loosh) has been through with the society, violence, throne claims, etc. But it is a definite underrated anime- and doesn't have that many episodes.
