    You make it look so easy. Probably all the experience you have 😉

      You're right. It has taken quite some time.

    I love watching your process! Love the texture you added, your color combination, and how you veil the colors in white, as well! The final results of your painting is beautiful!💕

    Did you add a gesso/something to trxture in hardboard?
    My takeaway from this - just keep going until you like it! I can get stuck in the mindset of getting it "right" the first time, but if i dont - just paint over it!
    Thanks so much, its a very beautiful piece

      Thanks for watching. My theory is that it just paint and canvas, if you don't like it paint over it. I have a concept and palette in mind when I start but that changes often.

      I forgot to answer your first question. This was painted over another older painting so there were the remnants of that.

    Hey Karen, crazy about your work! Is there any chance we could get you to actually talk us through some of your processes? It is so interesting to watch, but would love to know more. Thanks for sharing though.

      Thanks for watching and your interest in my work. My videos are a glimpse into my process and not meant to be a tutorial. It is a side project for me. My income relies on creating and marketing my work so that is where my focus is. There is just so much time I'm willing to give to this. I hope you can find them helpful.

    Fabulous! I thought it was perfect at every step of the way and I would have been proud to produce something similar. But you carry on way past what I would have been satisfied with myself much sooner. But I see the wonderful depth and textures you achieve with your many layers and contrasting colours and tones until your completed work is so beautiful. That’s also why you are a true gifted artist and I’m a beginner 😂 I’m so happy to have found you and will definitely follow you and hopefully learn from your excellent videos. Thank you for being so generous by sharing your knowledge with us. Watching you from the UK with a great deal of pleasure. Patricia 😘

    Do you finish the work without a break and is it wet on wet?

    • @karenhalepaintings
      @karenhalepaintings  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I take lots of breaks. I do work wet on wet and let the layers dry before going on to the next one.

    It would have been really interesting and educational to know some of your thoughts while you were painting otherwise it's just a video of someone painting.

      So sorry you are disappointed in the video. It is meant as a demonstration and not a tutorial. This is a side project for me and most of my time is devoted to creating and marketing my art since it is my main source of income. Thanks for watching, I hope you can find them helpful.
