Fabulous! I thought it was perfect at every step of the way and I would have been proud to produce something similar. But you carry on way past what I would have been satisfied with myself much sooner. But I see the wonderful depth and textures you achieve with your many layers and contrasting colours and tones until your completed work is so beautiful. Do you finish the work without a break and is it wet on wet?

I take lots of breaks. I do work wet on wet and let the layers dry before going on to the next one.

Did you add a gesso/something to trxture in hardboard?
My takeaway from this - just keep going until you like it! I can get stuck in the mindset of getting it "right" the first time, but if i dont - just paint over it!

Thanks for watching. My theory is that it just paint and canvas, if you don't like it paint over it. I have a concept and palette in mind when I start but that changes often.
