SC improved their outside shooting this season which is the main reason they are better equipped to play against a zone defense that packs the paint. Iowa beat SC last season by daring them to shoot jumpers and SC failed. LSU made them pay.
They didn't shoot the 3 ball particularly well the entire year and was 36-0. The refs won that game for Iowa.
SC relied on their defense to win this one. Auburn played well defensively for much of the game contested a lot of shots in the paint.

I agree but sc defense was pressure all night in the paint. Both teams shot horrible tho
it got better for sc at the second half but the first was rough
That first half was god awful. I looked at the stats at the start of 3rd quarter and was like...no one can shoot in this game or something?? Ashlyn was putting in work though.
So LSU is the only team so far to stay in single digits against SC?
I believe North Carolina (and Duke??) did as well.
Alot of misses for Auburn...Caitlin Clark don't miss..... South Carolina gotta stay focused

HVL is the one that left a very good program because she had to run the point.
Love ball turnovers in the last 2 games, getting taken off the dribble which causes drive and kick 3’s
She’s not quite fit enough to play the point in the SEC
Instead of ringchasing she should have went to a smaller program.
She plays hard but it is what it is
@@JBHarris21 definitely kicking herself for going to LSU. That team is in trouble if they don’t get their act together.
Cant say its a HVL problem, she can't take all the blame, Williams isn't performing as expected lately either. The bench is LSU's issue, they don't have anyone there to turn to.
@carlstokes9834 yeh it's not fair her and FJ are the only ones who haven't had real dip in play since we've been in tournament season. Depending on the math matchups I don't see lsu going far but it won't be because of HVL.
