I have to chime in and say i agree with this! I follow lots of other narrators but LH is mine and my partner's favourite by far! Nice voice, no annoying cadences lol, and the stories are never duplicated (which lots of channels do in their compilations just to stretch extra videos out - disappointing☹) We love you Lighthouse!!!!🤗

Personally I do not remember at what age that was but I think it was before 18 , Still got clothes for Christmas and Passover until I finished college though

Discovered this channel a little while back and haven't commented til now cause I've just been bingeing the multiple-hour-long ones. Wanna say your work is amazing, brings light to many underappreciated writers, and helps me cope with my ADHD! (I need noise in the background constantly). Reminds me a lot of the audiobooks they made me listen to during school, but actually interesting and free for everyone right here on TH-cam!

I usually wished for medical help as a kid. From 7 on every birthday candle, shooting star, and wishbone was a wish for my migraines to go away which evolved into happen less often, be less painful, and finally just to find the right meds to help me get through life.

It's a monthly injection that tells the brain, stop doing that and works wonders. Not enough to get off the others, but it makes everything more comfortable to live with.

My doc recommended trying Botox, but I'm a little hesitant to squirt a deadly neurotoxin into my face--I'm incredibly unlucky, y'see. But I'll have to bring up Aimovig when I see him next!

I hope that the protagonist will be smart enough to get his sweet, sweet revenge with the new list. I'd love to see a chase between him and the culprit or some kind of a showdown illuminated by the bright red sun at dawn or setting.

I have questions. The biggest are: 1- The 2nd wish... _was_ the bow on a German Shepard puppy? Was the puppy alive? If so, where was it for the rest of the story? 2- Why'd the whole car sabotage even happen? There was no wish that had anything to do with that. In fact, I thought at first it was something working against The Giver because by killing off the mom, it ensured Mac wasn't going to get the chocolate cake. Am I missing stuff?

I don't know if I just completely blanked it from my memory despite just listening the whole way through, but I don't remember a puppy gift. And if there was a dead dog in he story somewhere that I blanked out immediately, I don't want to know. >_> But also... Why not engage the parking brake if you realize your brakes are cut? It's a different line. Unless they're on the freeway, it would have at least slowed them enough to lessen the impact... But I guess in an emergency situation, sometimes it's hard to act in the most efficient manner. There's a reason the mind blanks when you're nervous, we just don't handle stress and fear well as a species.
The true horror in this story is the part where he mentions finally being released from the hospital, inheriting his parents’ house, but still having medical debt so he was lucky he wasn’t homeless. The fact that we live in a country where someone in a horrific accident comes out of it to find themselves in a horrific amount of debt is the true horror we all live in. I’m in my 50s and will never be able to retire because every bit of savings and other money I had was wiped out by medical debt. I have nothing left and I STILL have medical debt…and the joke of it is that I can’t work full-time due to ongoing health problems. I hate this country.
But... none of his wishes were actually granted- right? The watch, the phone, the dog, his moms cake- all were in view, but none were given to him- right? Or did I miss something? This reminds me of an old story- where wishes came true, but for every wish granted it was delivered with a tragedy. Poor soul. I was hoping the puppy would be given but I’m assuming it was a dead puppy. Admittedly this does kinda seem like something that would happen in the Your Boyfriend game. I feel like at this point in my life, I want to find out what I’m meant to be doing for a living and how am I supposed to go on that path. I’m hoping I’m meant to have a higher paying job to get things like new houses for my mom and I but I’m worried my meant to have job won’t pay as much as I’d like.

The most unbelievable part of the story is an 18year old getting birthday presents. I was lucky to get a cake for my birthday
