As good as the offensive numbers look on paper Ben Johnson really missed an opportunity to gash their defense with Jamo’s speed and Gibbs got about 25-35 of his yards on one of the final drives. Ben needed to duplicate the screen game & drag routes the rams did last week. Their defense never felt beaten. The D Line did a terrible job boxing in Allen and forcing him to step up and run through the middle, they gave him the side door and the edges early and he burned us as he does. The trenches on both sides played slow like they were coming off a bye.
These are the exact teams Brad should've brought in a stud to rush the QB. A sack or two to stop a a couple of drives it's a totally different game. Instead you penny pinch and this is what you get.
That onside kick pissed me off, to me this is a pivotal loss. 2nd game in a row where MCDC had zero faith in the defense, had our O risk it for that 1st down last week, and jumping the gun on an onside kick with 12 min left in the 4th. Our decimated defense are playing like the coaches have no faith in them outside of a few guys like Branch Campbell etc, we were reactive, slow to react, didn't establish any aggression or tempo, safeties were sitting too high too many times. Can't get INTs unless you are close to the ball when it's in the air. I think the lack of faith in the D and how thin the defense is extremely worrisome. Goff is going to need to play close to how he did today many games in a row if we want a SB this year. Our defense is a liability at this point now.
Holy overreaction. Jesus Crist Boys. We won 11 straight and were due for one it’s the NFL. We get Rakestraw, Anzo, Jrm, Iffy and possibly Comisky and Barnes back soon. We got the fucking Bears 49ers and Vikings. That’s 3 automatic wins idgaf what anyone else thinks or is worried about those games I’m not. The Bills took advantage of our LB room today with only Jackcambell being on the roster at the start of the season. Those new guys were lost today and not prepared. We were down 2 scores early hence why we had to abandon the run basically. Goff was elite, Laporta is back. If we stop 1 more stop on defense today we could’ve won that game. The world isn’t ending.
You guys are coddling Terrion Arnold. He's been terrible the entire season and hurt us again today. The rest of the secondary wasn't much better today, but at what point do we start to question whether Terrion should be starting?
