the reason camera not focusing on you is either:
(1) You are standing at less than 25cm from your camera because 18-55mm lens cannot focus below 25cm. OR
(2) if you are standing at more than 25 cm and still its not in focus then change the focus to manual and pre-focus on the tip of mic next to you.
i hope inshallah this will solve outof focus problem.
