I'm waiting for 6.12 to reach Mainline. I'll evaluate it and if there is a big jump in performance, I might make a video. I'm working on a number of videos so I think I'll put up a community post to see if there's a lot of interest in this.

I had a feeling this was going to be about Strix Halo, and I'm happy I guessed it.
Strix Halo is also interesting to me as it's the first x86 laptop that I know of that will have 4 memory channels, not the meager 2 channels that even 14900K, 9950X and 285K have. Of course, having about 4 times the normal iGPU cores does require a hefty memory bandwidth to feed them appropriately. And this should help for AI stuff too. Though on this front, the M chips go to 16 (yes, sixteen, 1024 bits) channels on the ultra chips (8 on max, if I'm not mistaken). So they might still have an advantage.
While I'm generally rooting for Intel nowadays, I also hope that Strix Halo knocks it out of the park, as I want to see more on that front.

Yes, competition is generally good, and what you’re saying about innovations AMD seems to be making with memory channels (and as a result, the speed of said memory) is evidence of this.
