aloha and shalom to you, Noumi ~ i am so happy to see this. I am new at having plants and it has been quite a journey, especially keeping them alive !!! i also have been wanting to have water plants, which is hard here in Hawaii in an apartment. This is a perfect solution and i have the perfect pot for the plant i bought just a few days ago !!! thank you thank you :-)
You can skip moss, but initially it will be difficult for the soil to hold on as an island. That’s why I added moss, to hold the soil together. After some months the roots will grow and hold the soil together
Hello there, I believe that the stem orient in search for light, have you tried moving it to a brighter location ? You do need to give couple of weeks to see any change.
@@NoumiNooruddeen put it outside and previously it was in front of a window. But it's true that my apartment is not very bright (northwest exposure). Since then there has been no change. I will attempt a repotting and another exposure.
Beautiful, just bought two today. Definitely going to try this with one of them x

Thank you for your lovely comments, gardening is a contagious bug. Enjoy your plants
Very clear instructions. Thank you.
Thanks, I am glad you found it interesting
Helpful! You deserve more!
Lovely arrangement 🥰
Thank you Shaziya
Beautiful!! Do I need to add moss around it, or can I skip that step and just add rocks around the outside after I make it into a little island?

I found one at the beginning of summer and I absolutely love it. Very easy to care for. What kind of moss do you recommend to cover the base?
You can use any kind you can source, here in the video I have used sphagnum moss. But it doesn’t look as nice as live moss.
Hello
The stems of my plant are almost no longer vertical but are oriented horizontally.
Is it due to a lack of light?

I just bought one of these plants.
Well this video isn't very helpful if you don't remember the names of the important components. =/
