Such a lovely and peaceful video of a masterfully designed garden. I visited it during the summer, and it was absolutely heaving with people. So, I'm happy to see all its beauty without a bajillion folks lining the paths!

Beautiful photography of the PJG. I’m grateful I have been able to visit and enjoy this garden dozens of times. Is it really world famous? Nice to hear a good thing about my city again. Thanks for sharing.

I've been a member for many year's now... it's my favorite place to go to when the world around me is chaotic. It brings peace and harmony and allows for deep self reflection. It keeps me sane and brings me life. I love it. Lovely video portrait of one of my favorite places on the planet - well done!

Dear JGTV, It is a stunning piece of work, both Japanese, and not Japanese in its artistry. The history of this work, like many things American, is full of hope, and strife. Created with the intent to heal the wounds between Japan and America in the post war period Inspired in the late 1950s, and by a desire to bind ties between the two cultures. Oregon had a significant Japanese-American population that were all sent to "The Camps" in a fit of post Pearl Harbor racism and fear. Professor Takuma Tono of Tokyo Agricultural University and the world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma were retained over the years to design the Garden, their plans created a significant departure from single-style gardens in Japan. These designs would highlight historical developments in Japanese garden architecture and add a distinct "flavour".

We loved it. Reminded us so much of Japan. Its history is fascinating. If we lived closer we would go all the time. Will return this Fall. ❤

I visited a few years ago. It was so inspiring. Every little detail. I could never do a garden like this in my own space but I could do some of the details. I was especially inspired by the short bamboo fences lining many of the paths. You can see them on one scene of the video. Exquisite! Thank you.

Beautiful video! Such an amazing garden too! The surroundings look like here in Victoria; same trees, ferns and moss! I should visit some day, it's close!😊

How would you compare it to traditional Japanese gardens in Kyoto? I have visited Portland Garden along with many gardens in Japan and I understand every garden is unique in its own way - but I am very curious to see your perspective - if you have noticed any distinct patterns in composition/layout/design.
