    Hi, I love your idea and this product is exactly what I like to have. I don't have a 3d printer yet and had no experience using it. Is there a specific printer you recommend? 🤔 I also like to know what is the time that you need to print a frame like 8x10 inches?

    • @katzcreates
      @katzcreates  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm afraid I cannot really get into printer recommendations here, and the time it takes to print a frame really depends on the printer! There are some GREAT TH-camrs that can give advice about first printers though, I recommend 3D Printing Nerd, Thomas Sanladerer and Makers Muse to start!

    I was thinking to myself recently how I need to get some frames for a bunch of posters I've never put up, wondering if someone made basically this exact thing. Just gotta figure out which size types my posters are so I know which STLs to buy, I never paid mind to "Is this an A size or a B size" so much as "this looks neat even if I don't have a frame for it"

    What type of filament did you use for making them strong enough? 👀

    • @katzcreates
      @katzcreates  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just regular PLA works fine! If you're having issues with strength, I recommend increasing the number of walls and upping the infill. :)

    I don’t know if you’ll see this or if I’ll even get a reply bein that this video is a year old but, I just checked out your website to buy the STLs and I have a question. My wife and I like to do diamond paintings from time to time and I would like to be able to frame some of them and hang them up or give them away as gifts. At the moment most of the ones were working on our 10 x 10 but sometimes we get larger ones and I’m not sure what set I should buy. There seems to be 4, an A, a B, inches, and metric. It would probably be smart if I bought them all to have them, I’m a file hoarder, but what would be the best one to start in my case. As I mentioned, most of the ones were completing now are 10”x10” and the other ones were like 12 x 14 or 16 or something like that so my guess would be the inches one but I don’t wanna just blindly purchase one and hope it works out. I couldn’t buy them all at one time anyway so I probably will end up getting them all but the first one I buy I would like to be able to frame some of these. Any advice?

    • @katzcreates
      @katzcreates  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is not a silly question at all! If you are pretty much solely dealing with inches in your measurements, then the Inches frames will sort you completely. If you ever think you might work in standard A or B sizes in addition to inches, then the bundle is definitely your best bet! Feel free to email if you have any more questions! :)

    You didn't spill how you did the magic! Does the length follow Renard series, much like resistor values in the E12 or E24 series? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renard_series

    If I can offer just a slight bit of constructive criticism, the video feels just a tad slow at times.

    Really close to getting a 3D printer just due to this channel. The frame concept is amazing. Your videos and the way you present them, awesome. But 30 seconds of a new concept plus maybe 3 minutes of example. 8 minutes of your flare is nice but a bit much. It's not trying to be insulting just constructive criticism. Great job none the less.

    Please speed up the commentary...
    Listen, the lighting is great, the sound was well balanced, the core information and math behind everything was fantastic, and I'm not trying to be a troll here... but your title for the video told us it was a frame, and the first 4 mins of the video was just you repeating how mind blown we'll be if we continue to watch... followed up by the next 3 mins just repeating the calculations and how we don't need a calculator.
    If you're going for retention time, repeating isn't going to work, and I had to watch the video at 2x speed then gave up half way... I started writing this comment out of boredom while waiting to hear something important.. put it that way...
    First minute of the video should have been you showing the part, showing the final product example, and where to find it.
    Then continue on to show us how you designed it... Yes you will lose some who just wanted to see the start and finish, but at least you'll keep others interested enough to see what you made, and how you got there.. I'm typically a pretty patience dude... I've spent hours watching other youtubers file and sand 3D printed parts...
    Also I don't know what's going on with the rest of the comments, whether they're paid followers, or just family and friends, but surrounding yourself with praise will only result in you never knowing how good you could be.
    I did Subscribe to prove I'm not just being a troll, but I want to see much better from someone smart enough to get this far in the first place.
    Best of luck.
