Mazie Egbuna, a bitter old man with a crooked leg, lives alone in a village. Angry at his misfortune, he acquires dark magic and hides it in his walking stick. When young men visit from the city, he strikes his stick, cursing them with financial ruin. This continues until one day, a young girl unknowingly takes his walking stick and uses it as firewood. Mazie, feeling the curse burn, confesses his evil deeds. He dies after revealing the truth, and the village is finally freed from his curse, returning to peace and happiness.
