Great video. I always wondered how assistance dogs worked in an education environment:) Shes such a good girl. May I ask what type of alert dog she is? Anxiety, diabetes etc.
Sounds like elevated heart rate and possibly something else? Not many dogs are cross-trained to handle multiple disabilities. I’m glad this sweet pup does this work for her handler and friend.
@@joannestark3023actually a lot are!! There’s a lot of multipurpose service dogs! For me I have a medical/cardiac alert, psychiatric(ptsd), and light mobility!
how beautiful! I'm currently training my own assistance dog (Australian here, service dogs are better known as assistance dogs in Australia). I am about to start back at Uni and he's only 6 months old but is already well trained. he comes to work with me (vet nurse) so he gets plenty of desensitisation as well. thank you for the wonderful video showcasing what it's like to attend school trips with a service dog! I hope you're both well
OMG your service dog is way prettier than mine 😂. How do people teach guiding without pulling? It fascinates me. She is very good and so calm and well behaved. Be proud 💪
The “cuz yk I’m a female 💅“ was so funny to me 😭 also relatable Also I love videos like this there so helpful for me who’s getting a service dog at some point to kinda get a feel for like idk what it’s like kinda idk 😭❤
Your dog is beautiful love your channle and you gave some information for me I think I might get a service dog for my exiety its really bad so I might try it out ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😮❤❤
RAGH THIS VIDEO IS SO COOL im also training my own service dog (i might look young cus i am) but im watcjing tutorials from doggyu or other service dog handlers and omg my dog is literally different listening, good behaved she is still in training if anyone have some tips i will 100% try them
Hii! I'm a service dog handler too! I was wondering what tasks Kokie dose for you? How long has she been your working dog? And she's such a beautiful dog!❤
Do you have access issues sometimes? My wife has a service dog and very rarely have we ever had a problem going anywhere with it. 99% of the time people don't understand the ADA laws regarding service animals and are willing to learn. 1% of the time they SAY they know the law - but don't - and aren't willing to listen or learn. We've made flyers and business cards with ADA laws and URLs to the ADA website itself which covers both handlers and business owners' rights.
@TOMATO_34-6feeling sad is an emotion, not a disability. you can only have a service dog if you have a diagnosed disability that impacts your daily life"
Body dysmorphia is a disorder that affects how you see yourself. In my case (I’m pretty sure I have it) if I tried to wear something that normally I feel looks good on me, sometimes I may see it a different way and not want to wear it. Some days are better than others though. Hope this helped!
The “cause you know I’m a female” is making me laugh so hard ❤❤❤
LMAO same 😭❤ also relatable

Hello I am new to your channel! I just subbed. I'm wondering, are you from Illinois? I am and you seem to have the same accent as me.
That’s my dream dog

What’s a prong collar?
You don’t have to answer but what is body dysmorphia I have a ESSA (emotional support stuffed animal)

Hey just wanted to let you know that your dog should not wear either a shock colar, prong colar, or both because it could hurt your dog.
They can wear what they want :] when used correctly, a prong collar is fine
E collars can also be helpful when used correctly
