I watched this movie in my rock music analysis class and I really loved it, it's definitely one of the most visually interesting films I've watched in a while
Honestly the movie would have been more enjoyable if it was only around 90 minutes like Pink Floyd’s The Wall. I love the music and the film, but yeah at about two hours this movie is really exhausting to watch.
I would definitely agree with that. It does tend to drag a bit. They are doing good stuff there but they don't give their audience enough credit and tend to beat the dead horse a bit. It would be interesting to see a version of Tommy cut down to a more manageable level.
Yeah, I liked some of the extra songs they added and thought they made the story a little more comprehensive, but I think they added a few too many. And did we really need the disgusting scene with the baked beans and chocolate?
Whether you end up liking it or not, it’s still a really fucking wild and unforgettable experience. Ken Russell certainly isn’t one for subtlety, and the movie is like a crazy fever dream filled with music and songs.

I saw this six times at the theater and was stoned every time. I certainly didn't want it to be shorter!
Is there any other way to see this really?
@@Dbaughcherry you really need a drug for this movie, a psychedelic one, don't waste your time with alcohol and heroin, get a joint or a tab
@@jeanmichellelaurent probably doesn't hurt lol

I agree, lost interest after about 80 Minutes
I've heard mostly negative reviews of this movie, but this really makes me want to see it sometime
I can see people not liking it, it's fairly polarizing, but worth a watch

@@crescentfreshbret I've seen it, it was cool really interesting to see the other famous people in it.
@@bentramer682 It’s not every day you get to hear Jack Nicholson sing!
Took years to break down the symbolism of the film, but it was worth it!
good film, but they could have found a little boy to play tommy who looked like roger daltrey-he doesn't even have blue eyes!
It's a rock opera, made with the intent to show off the songs. Making an entertaining movie was secondary, thankfully.
The whole movie is embarrassing, a disappointment.
A terrible film
