I really appreciate you explaining how you're fishing this. Im new to swimbaits, stocked up on a bunch for this year. This is great information , thank you
no doubt! This is still my fav glide to fish down here. i should also be putting out a review video on a swimbait rod soon that i've been meaning to do for like 6 months. i'm trying to find time to get back to this youtube channel with working a new job and it's been rough.
This year I started throwing glide baits, and it is quickly becoming addictive. I’ve caught a few on a Jackall Gantarel with a 7 pound 11 ounce being the largest, and I caught a 7 pound 7 ounce on a S Waver 200 yesterday. I ordered the Sneaky Pete in bone today, and I’m looking forward to using it. Great tips and nice catch footage!
Durability hasn't been an issue for me and ive dinged it off all kinds of stuff casting it and caught tons of fish on em. Youre gonna get hook rash but thats all big baits.
I've had about 8 or 9 of these, and never changed anything but the hooks. I've also never broken a bait or had paint come off due to anything but hook rash, even after bouncing them off the cowl of the motor. Not really sure how you developed that opinion, but i guess you're entitled to it.
I have since tested a brand new one. Here's my take. Hooks are too thick and heavy. Switched them and the swim is 10x better. The paint does chip easy, so easy that I made only a few test casts and got chipping. Hit nothing and was careful in the clear. The chip is usually around the edges at the joint section. The lure is easily hook rash bc it's aggressively hard on the jerking. This is bc it is a perfect blend of responsive plastic...In other words, the best term may be cheap plastic, but that's the upside of the lure. That's how I arrived at my conclusion. I'm the best in this game.
@@WolverineXXXX Let's see some pics? some video? i already said i switch the hooks on these out of the pack. You say the "The chip is usually around the edges at the joint section" if you tested ONE how do you know where they "usually" chip? I'm not really even sure what most of this means: " The lure is easily hook rash bc it's aggressively hard on the jerking. This is bc it is a perfect blend of responsive plastic...In other words, the best term may be cheap plastic, but that's the upside of the lure." I've never had one of these get hook rash just while fishing it, so how many fish did you catch before it started getting hook rash? What swimbait do you own that doesn't get hookrash when you catch fish? This is such an endemic problem with swimbaits that there is a company that makes guards for hookrash for all different baits. Finally if you're "the best in this game" where is your data and your content?
“Best in this game” sure sign when someone has the balls to say that that they don’t know half of what they think they know. If you don’t like um don’t buy um, and move on. 😉

Be careful! Next thing ya know you'll be droppin 200 bucks on 2 baits like i did last week lol!
Thanks for a great review. It is really helpful for those of us starting out with swimbaits in low visibility waters.
Thanks for checking it out! This is def a go to in lower vis situations. Especially when throwing close to cover.
2 videos this week!! Good review man!!
Yeah...let's see if we can keep it going...
cool vid dude!
I may have missed it in the video but what do you use for line with this bait?
Thanks
new sub... nice fish...Great Review!
Great video. Whats the boat?
That is a tracker classic xl. Was a pretty sweet little rig.
Sweet PETE Action!
Great review man! Thx🤙
In a highland reservoir with that 5-10 ft. of visabilty, what color would you recommend?
With water clarity like that id go with gizzard shad or ayu, whichever most closely remsembles the forage in the lake.
What pound test line were u running?

How durable are these? Read reviews on TW about them not being very durable after some use.

Hey if it works that good , have 1 in your Tackle Box.
Nice
What is your rod and reel setup?
Dobyn's 806 with a Lew's Superduty Gx3 is what it's been lately.
Nets and big swimbait fish dont mix
Quality? Bad hooks, swivel, paint, and plastic.

@@floridastrain8582 Just go look at the TW reviews. I'm too entitled.
