    Just found your channel because I was doing a search for Edelweiß. How lucky to find you. This was a great tutorial.
    Thank you for explaining with such patience and going through the song as a short playalong. That was great. And I directly subscribed to your channel. Hope this will help.

    Hello, thank you to share with us. I have a suggestion. Is it possible to keep in small size, the chord fingerings in the corner of the video as remembering and also the fingerpicking like exemple Pattern2 cord 4, 3, 2, 3. and if 2 cord in the same time can be 3&1, or 4&1

    • @LaraMarkowitzMusic
      @LaraMarkowitzMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks for the suggestion! Edelweiss was the first song tutorial that I created and my videos have evolved quite a bit over time. Check out more recent lessons and you'll find the chord diagrams and patterns on screen 😊

    Thank you for this video. I'm interested in music and I used to play the piano and a little bit of guitar, this is the first time I've seen this instrument. I have been studies music in different solfege syllables it's: Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si and I"m confused with American solfege syllables. Could you explain to me how to "match" them, please?

    • @LaraMarkowitzMusic
      @LaraMarkowitzMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. I believe the main differences are that the American syllables use So instead of Sol, and Ti instead of Si.

    • @IdoKleinman
      @IdoKleinman 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There you go Amer
      Do = C
      Re = D
      Mi = E
      Fa = F
      Sol = G
      La = A
      Si = B
      Salam Aleykum!

    • @LaraMarkowitzMusic
      @LaraMarkowitzMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you enjoyed the video Rogeh! For D I'd suggest using 2 rather than 3 fingers. Try using your index finger on strings 3 and 4, and your middle finger on the 2nd string. Hopefully this is more comfortable as you don't have to squeeze in your ring finger. Give it a try and let me know what you think 😊

    • @rogerarctic
      @rogerarctic 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your help! I guess it needs practice. I found a chords sheet online, but the D7 chord and a few others were played differently. I'm kinda confused.

    • @LaraMarkowitzMusic
      @LaraMarkowitzMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rogerarctic The D7 that I'm using in this video is the Hawaiian version of D7. It's easier to play than standard D7 as you only have to fret 2 strings instead of 4. There are multiple chord shapes for each chord in different positions along the fretboard. It's not necessary to learn them all but they can come in handy.

    I’ve learned the chords in a day easy enough but to master and move to the strum scares me.

    • @LaraMarkowitzMusic
      @LaraMarkowitzMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's wonderful that you've learned the chords in a day! Try practicing the strumming at a slower tempo at first. With repetition through practice your right hand will learn the rhythm and then you'll be able to bring it up to speed. I know it can seem daunting to put it all together...try to be patient with it and you'll get there!
