- In the "Reviving 🇬🇭 Ghana’s Streets: Volunteers Redefining Urban Beauty" initiative, volunteers embarked on a focused mission to restore paved walkways overtaken by weeds and sand. The process unfolded as follows:
Preparation (30 minutes): Volunteers convened for an initial briefing, received instructions, and were provided with the necessary tools and safety equipment.
Weed and Sand Removal (4 hours): The team systematically cleared the paved walkways, starting with the removal of weeds that had overgrown and were obstructing the pavement. They carefully separated the weeds from the sand and other debris.
Sand Collection (1 hour): Following the weed removal, volunteers collected the sand, which was transported using a tricycle. The amount of sand gathered was estimated to be equivalent to one and a half loads of a tipper truck.
Final Cleanup (45 minutes): The final step involved disposing of the separated weeds and trash while ensuring the sand was properly managed.
The entire effort took approximately 7 hours and 45 minutes, significantly improving the aesthetic appeal of the walkways and bringing joy to the community.

How is this too difficult to do as a country? How much are those trucks that sweep the streets that a whole country can’t buy about 50 of them to sweep its streets ?? We buy v8 like food to drive on dirty streets and we have no shame . Kudos guys

Were you not here when Ambulance drivers started loading cements and foodstuffs into the new Ambulance cars? Look! Ghanaian attitude is so bad, so be careful and ask for some information about these trucks before jumping into conclusions.

This is a complete job that Gorvenment through the Ministry of Local Gorvenment recruit more people to clean up the environment. When I was growing up every morning workers from the sanitation department at Municipal Assembly cleaning the gutters and the refuse truck with them collecting all the refuse from the gutters, am talking about Tema, by this the city was very clean.
Hmm now Tema is dirty like something but we have property rates that the collect every month,this guy's need to be empowered. When u go abroad cleaning job is all over the place that why we are all yearning to go

Maintenance is actually a big problem for Ghana,the Sanitation ministry must give percentage of the budget money awarded them to these guys to help mke Ghana clean,becos the difference is really showing after they clean, Ghana can be beautiful again when we all come on board,well done guys
