    it makes me cry to know there are others in the world that love this band as much as I do

    That ruby red Ricky is gorgeous! I love my fireglo 360 but there’s something special about red guitars and cars!

    10/10 video. I've never heard of this band, but they're right up my alley

    Thank you so much for this video. These guys are CRIMINALLY underrated. Seen them live twice in the past few years and they've absolutely killed it both times. What a band!

    Totally agree with you on how criminally underrated Eggstone is, I like to request the tab or tutorial of "Waiting For The Bell" especially the second bridge/outro.

    Yes! Im so glad that someone is talking about PB! He has that jazzy style, craming in some lovely notes during the guitar parts. Theodor Jensen(Broder Daniel/the Plan) has some slick pop guitar too. And Peter Svensson (the Cardigans)

    Nice! The verse guitar melody for April and May is great too.

    Really nice playing, thanks for highlighting Eggstone, had never heard of them until seeing your post! BTW, your use of the Rickenbacker 360 to play ringing arpeggios reminds me a bit of Johnny Marr...

    Never heard of Eggstone until now, not exactly on my frequency but it's clearly masterfully done on every level. Tip of the hat to those crazy voicings and modulations, so much talent from every player, dope AF. 👍🏼

    Eggstone are pop gods. Saw them live in Hamburg a few years ago after listening to their brilliant music since the mid 90's. 80% of their work is fantastic, 20% still good. Never understood why they didn't charted. And they use Rickenbacker, my favourite guitar brand. Perfect combination. Their recent 2 tracks "Like so" and "The Late" are also first class. Anybody out there who owns some unreleased tracks of them? ;-)

    Thanks for the enlightenment. An excellent trio of talent, songwriting, and production. Reminds just a bit of why I’ve always loved Elvis Costello and Squeeze. America missed out on Eggstone. Hopefully I can find some of their vinyl releases if available, used or reissued. Love your channel and presentation.

    Hi! Thanks for enlightening me with this band! Please! Make cover or tutorial videos with tabs of My Trumpets, Supermeaningfectlyless, April and May and Desdemona, Happiest Fool, etc... :D
    Because of this video, I'm seriously thinking about selling my two Gibson SGs and buying a Rickenbacker 360 or ES-335 (I'd like to know your opinion).

    • @becauseguitarsolos1264
      @becauseguitarsolos1264  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Many thanks for the comment! Here's what I would do: If you have two SGs, maybe trade one of them towards a 335. The 335 is "one guitar to rule them all", it is incredibly versatile, and if you buy a used one at a fair price, it will hold its value so that you can trade it again with no loss.

    Thanks for a great video! Have listened to Eggstone since I first saw them live in 1991 but the guitar parts have seemed too complex to fathom. Would it be possible to get a complete song with tabs?

    • @becauseguitarsolos1264

    What type of strings do you use on your Rick 360 if I may ask?

    • @becauseguitarsolos1264
      @becauseguitarsolos1264  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nothing special, 10-46 d'Addario roundwounds. I know that flatwounds are supposed to work well with RICs, but I've never experimented with that.

    • @rabbadatz
      @rabbadatz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have tried flatwounds on mine. Unless you play with some overdrive it will take the Rick sparkle away IMHO.

      Talking about Rickenbacker:
      I just found this one. A real live recording which shows how good the Byrds could play and sing in their early days already.
      What a 12str solo McGuinn pulls of!
