That he has some dirt on Phillip and that it would be best to let each other's secrets lie in the past. If you recall earlier in the series, when Phillip was still chaffing under the restrictions of royal life and his perceived emasculation by having no kind of real leading role, he spent a lot of time away from the palace carousing with his posh drinking buddies. There was some kind of Wednesday lunch club where these guys would go knock back a few and had the potential for other hanky panky. Apparently one of the guys in the circle was some osteopath doctor who had some kind of freak off get togethers at his place and Phillip was known to hang out there at times. Whether he actually ever crossed the line and had a fling is a matter of debate, and fortunately for him they didn't have cell phone cameras in those days. Of course Blunt might be bluffing. Maybe Phillip never did anything truly scandalous and if he did, Blunt may or may not actually have the evidence. On the other hand being a royal was a nightmare of paparazzi looking for a scoop, and anything that might have even put Phillip in personal proximity of a scandal was probably not worth risking.
To expand a little on the previous post, Blunt wasn't just a senior member of the royal staff, he was an MI5 spook who handled some very sensitive matters for the Royal family such as the retrieval of the Marburg files from Germany at the end of WWII. It's said that he had dirt on dozens of senior members of the British establishment and that's why he was never prosecuted for being a double agent for the Soviets.
It's been rumoured that Prince Phillip was banging Christine Keeler, one of the women at the centre of the Profumo scandal that brought down the MacMillan government. Keeler had an affair with Secretary of State for War John Profumo at the same time she was engaged in another with Soviet Military Attaché and spy Yevgeny Ivanov creating fears of a major security leak. No evidence has ever been produced that Phillip was involved with Keeler but if the press had got hold of it at the time, the Profumo scandal would have ballooned into a nightmare of apocalyptic proportions for the British establishment.
Fellow Yank here; had a clue, but still had to look it up. Sorry the explanation is a bit long. Anthony Blunt was Surveyor of the King's (then the Queen's) Pictures from 1945 to 1972. As he maintained the Royal Art collection, he endeared himself to the royal family and was given a knighthood. He was also a Soviet spy, having been recruited out of university (check out the “Cambridge Five”. It’s fascinating stuff.) When the truth came out, Britain was already going through a serious scandal (the Profumo Affair, mentioned in the video). Rather than publicize another scandal Blunt was given immunity in return for a confession and help with ongoing investigations. The public wasn’t informed of Blunt’s spy activities, but the royal family was. In the video, Prince Philip is confronting Blunt over having been a traitor and saying he better watch his step. Blunt is countering that Philip better watch his step. It was rumored that Prince Philip was involved in the Profumo Affair, and that the osteopath at the center of the scandal had created paintings of Prince Philip, possibly under compromising circumstances. Blunt is suggesting that he used his art connections to obtain those paintings before anyone could see them and if Philip gives him any trouble he will make the paintings public. This would cause yet another scandal, one that will deeply involve the royal family this time.
