The ideah behind WC is to maintain your own centerline, root and gravity. Bobbing/weaving/moving your head is a step in the wrong direction from WC pov. The idea is to control your opponent's COG and gain advantagious position with superious structure and space management so you don't HAVE to move your head. What you are seeing here is more of a 'game' where both sides don't always win (hence, the head contact)
Very nice job, I like specially your footwork, I found it more efficient than which I usually see in other WSL schools. Greetings from Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain).
Pretty good. Head movement is needed. That's why a lot of their guy's get tagged so much. They don't move their heads AT ALL. Besides that, it's all good.
she is unsure of her own footwork, looks down to her feet often.. also could use her size as an advantage and undercut him instead trying to go over his arms (she is prone to rising shoulders because of that, and usually means the balance and structural integrity is gone.. ) then again.. its training, she will get there eventually.
head movement is 2ndary - all you need to take care off, is to keep it as back as possible (like a general behind his troops) They get tagged, because they failed somewhere else.. let the boxers compensate lack of hand techniques with diving and ducking.. a wing chun man cannot afford to do so, certainly not in infight and ellbowdistance.. training the tactil senses is priority. Need to duck away the head against a wing chun training partner, means defeat already...
Honestly in my opinion they are rushing into throw punches instead of tryin to have control of your enemy arm take more time slowing down .. its fast and sloppy in my opinion.. would not past in the street.. but hey keep up the good work practices make perfect
I'd dissagree. the 'other guy' is just not as good as him, so he looks good. IMO, he's doing a lot of grabbing and reaching (giving up structure) and isn't controling the space of his opponent. I call this fast chasing hands and lucky fighting

Ehi isn't he the actor who played the role of Bruce Lee in BIRTH OF THE DRAGON? I love that movie!!!!
Yes, and many other Hong Kong Movies as well, he's Phillip Ng
Question, was Rusty Gray a student of your lineage? Because he definitely claimed to have been.
