One of the more recent one-hit wonders I can think of is Smoke by A Thousand Horses. It hit the Top 5 in 2015 and was a #1 hit on the Canadian country charts but their sophomore album went absolutely nowhere. Shame, since it seemed like they had a pretty strong fanbase at first.

“Forgive” by Rebecca Howard is one of the absolute best country songs EVER! I had her CD, it was excellent! Rebecca has a stellar, powerful voice and I so wish she would’ve made it. Too many incredibly talented people never quite made it. Rebecca Howard, Chalee Tenison, Mila Mason, Jamie O’Neal, Lila McCann, Steve Azar, Steve Holy.....and I feel like Phil Vassar and Gretchen Wilson should’ve had Longer careers; they made outstanding records. Super sad. Imho, 2008 was the last really good year in modern country music; it still had substance and richness and realism. It was about life. What a concept?! I miss that so much. (sigh). Usually for most songs, I can remember a certain point in time when I heard it, but not that song for some reason. I remember bawling my eyes out when I first heard How do you get that lonely in 2004. My grandma had JUST died (like a week/2 before). That was my first touch with death, and first real big hit to my depression that I've fought with since I was 11. I still can't listen to that song - I still tear up, apparently.

Wearing western boots = when standing your jeans should have about 2 buckles/folds at the bottom. This is because when riding your knees are bent and the jeans should still reach the boot properly (the front edge of the jeans should rest at the top of the arch and the back edge should rest just above the ground in the back).
If riding in inclement weather clothing is worn to shed water down. So, when in the saddle the water would shed down the outside of the jeans and past the leather seam in the boot where the shaft meets the top.
As a side note - if you remember the frilly leather piece on lace up roper boots - that was, also, to cover the area at the bottom of the laces so water doesn't quickly fill the boots through the seams.
Not wearing jeans like this is an immediate clue that the wearer is not knowledgeable about country/western wear.
No big deal. Just something of interest.
    And.... No, skinny jeans! LOL!
