@@SWMOWoodsman I read on a website about a city trying to figure out what they were going to do with their 25yr old siren. They said it was only 70db. That must be a tiny town lol
I can’t remember where I got this one, but it was in my ownership for a few years before I gave it to a good friend of mine, who then sold it to the Village of McCord Bend in 2020.
Whelen Sirens are one of the best sirens on the market today and the vortex in some cases are louder then thunderbolts with a 129db rating at 100 feet, so please do some research before you bash on new sirens because you may be surprised
Timofey Kozyrev first of all i never said all thunderbolts but depending on the blower and chopper level and along with if its wired correctly a vortex can be louder but i think the vortex you saw may have been a R2 or R3 (which means 2 or 3 400 watt speaker drivers) and its possible it blew a driver or a older model, but a newer vortex R4 is rated for 129 DB at 100 feet so it really depends on the age and model of the vortex but yeah the new ones are really good sirens and are probably the best electronic siren brand in the modern siren industry and obviously a mechanical siren is gonna pack more of a punch then a electronic siren thats how they are but they are nearly the same when carrying the sound to people and as long as it warns people and works thats all that matters
Why does a man have to bring Catherine to life and I do not know why because all Replacements have to be robots and Catherine has all the memories into the robots lips she can do yay Catherine's alive now😁
Actually, they aren’t. I have heard 2nd generation 2001s that are louder than a 130. I have a feeling the 130 badge is just a name and not an actual dB rating regardless of what the manufacturer says
@@Vigilance108 dual tones are generally louder but single tones carry further hence why new installation of dual tones are rare. However older gals like this 2T22 are generally more reliable
I love how some towns and cities will still restore and use these sirens.
Nice restored 2t22B. Very cool touch of the flashing light below the bottom intake.
Cruz literally thought of everything. Absolute genius
@EOWS 612’s siren productions. uh what?
I’m pretty sure that sign is probably new
I’m pretty sure that siren his new
It was restored. It is from the 1970s.
That 2T22 looks great!
Reminds me of the old ACA demo video with the driller
I like the little light under the 2t22 siren
I love the winding down parts!
AMAZING! I never saw that light 'till it sounded off!
Kinda surprised they kept this one instead of upgrading to another 2001, those things are everywhere tho so this is nice to see
wow! never knew thats how they installed sirens great video!
Nice! that 2T22 looks great!
Wow nice installed 2T22 I hope there gonna put Thunderbolts back to installed or STH-10's?
This is the only siren this town is getting due to the size of the village

I doubt it
When will it test😊
2nd Wednesday of the month at 10AM
Oh k
Where did you get the cd sticker?
IIRC, it was made by a local sign company.
When will u test it
It is tested on the second Wednesday of each month at 10AM, weather permitting.
Ok thx
What is the difference between 2t22 and 3t22
@@bradsullivan2454 The 3T22 is capable of doing high/low as well as alert and attack. The 2T22 cannot do high/low.
Cool thx
I wonder if this is one chillicothe mo 2t22s they had 5 they was selling 8 yrs back just never knew what they did with all them
This one came from a small town in Southwestern Missouri
Why the siren having red light when blare start??
It is to aid in visual notification when the siren is sounding.
@@SWMOWoodsman I'm siren enthusiast
How did you get that installed?
She is a good lookin 2T22B! Nice to see they did a test of attack.

Sirens don’t have genders…
@@SWMOWoodsmanyou are wrong
I am not wrong. Sirens are inanimate objects and do not have genders. Of which there are only two.
Is it brand new siren?
No, it is from around 1977. It was refurbished prior to installation.
Oh thanks
I wish there is one outside my house near the fence that closes off the backyard.

You should get one too. Or do you?

Great Video, Brandon!
Thank you

2T22.

A Vortex would have been a good siren as well, but way over powered for this tiny village.

The best is the SiraTone EOWS
