5:16 "her Tag Assaults were bad" I disagree with that, she has some good Tag Assaults and they tend to refloat the opponent pretty high so you can end the combo with strong enders... For 1-hit TA she has u+1+2 the upwards laser For 2-hits TA she had the b+4,1 or her f+3, 2,1 for less refloat but stronger damage For 3-hits TA she had df+3,2,2 At the wall you can use her f+1+2 sometimes, she also has this fancy complicated TA for style which is db+1+2~b+1+2 (release the stick to neutral to cancel) then CD+4,3 or just db+4,3 or stuff like that. With enough experience you can learn how to use the right TA for the right situation, like with King for example I used her f+3,2,1 as my bread and butter in most cases as it gives enough lift to go for King's airthrow as the ender but when I launched my opponent from an odd off axis angle or from behind I used her b+4,1 instead and then ended with something like King's f+2+3 or f,f,f+3+4 (because airthrow wouldn't work from that angle you know) 6:36 you don't use her standing 4, because her standing 3 is just faster (14 frames) that was her "magic 4" but still obviously slower than most moves that worked like this with other characters 11:43 her WS+2 was actually 16f not 15f. That was why her standing punishment was pretty good, but her punish from crouch was "ok" at best But yeah if you make a Dr. B. video perhaps you can see why Angel was like a hair's breadth above him 😂 Dr. B. now that's a character that despite having a 14f df+1 is the absolute worst shit in the game lol

So about Angel, it still seems like people don't comprehend what was wrong with her, and what was GOOD with her but I'll repeat it again: - worst backdash in the game (I think T6 Alisa was this bad, too) - no mids faster than 15 frames - no high crushes whatsoever other than generic dickjab (db+1) and d+4 - no safe wallsplat mids (df+2 splats but only on CH, CD+3 becomes punishable at the wall, etc) - general problems with tracking (she only had 3 homing moves and all of them were bad in their own way, b+2 was very short range and high, f+1+2 was DJ's f+1+2 so unsafe on block, and f+3,4 was super slow) As for what's good about Angel (cus she was not COMPLETELY trash): + punishers from standing are pretty good except for punishing pushback moves like deathfist or Hei f,f+2 + ability to punish tag from very long ranges with 1+2 laser + lots of taggable launchers
Been playing her alot lately with Kaz. Worth mentioning her cmd list combo is DAYM hard to land. The dash 2nd EWGF needs to be near frame perfect if not perfect and after you get the db2 into the triple 1 jab her ff+3,4 actually has a shorter hitbox than you'd think. So basically each dash jab needs to be perfect aswell. Bit like doing Kings powerbomb after his TTT2 bound but multiplied by all the hits in the combo. *tight* Crazy wallcarry and looks damn nice but like so much optimal combos in Tag2. Pretty no point as even two launches point blank from a wall will still be able to kill you, and if you tag crash - congrats. You've just been launched, again. 👍 Remember to send a postcard while you're being carried off to another wall. As useless as they are I think she's got the smoothest 10hit combo in the game ending with Devil's ff+2 sideswap through your gut. Only found use for it from weird angle side-wallsplats where the lows whiff and they would push a button and get clipped or stay ducking by default and accidentally each the mid. What rank and area re you? I'm EU been playing kaz and AK in ttt2. I'm loving being able to do weird kazuya combos like ff3 ewgf dewgf AK d2 into bound, the sky is the limit. Found out you can do ewgf ewgf dash b24 db2 TA pretty sick, you get 100 damage with ak no walls
She had TTT1 style twin pistons but they were natural combo on CH only in the beta version of Tag 2. Her moves were a lot better in the beta, she had DJ's df+3,2,4, a better b+4,1 (full launch on the second hit after connecting the first) and f+3,1 stun on CH allowed for a full EWGF launch like Kaz CH df+2 I believe. I think Kane still has videos of her in the beta version, you gotta dig into his TH-cam channel, he was the one who betatested her. I think the TTT2 style 15 frame nc twin pistons were fine, but she should have been given a faster mid like db+2 or df+4 but faster than 15f for poking
I honestly think Angel would be a cool DLC. With some major improvements. Like Christie is cool I guess but Angel has so many unique stuff that I think she would be so much easier to "revamp".

Angel may have a few weaknesses on her making her less than devil jin but she isn't the worse character. Infact, the worse characters to be exact are mokujin and kom-bot
If anything that’s a testament to how bad she REALLY was... the reality is a HS and EWGF just aren’t as powerful if you have horrible movement and garbage mids
Her sweep dmg is good enough it does like 32 dmg which is 7 less than Kazuya's. "What's the point of ewgf if you can't mix it with anything.." EWGF isn't a mix up tool. It's still a +5 on block tracking launcher with fast whiff recovery and taggable. So you can use it to interrupt people trying approach and discourage stepping especially if you dash into it.
