I love this man dearly and his teachings were always timely and go with me daily. He took the time to talk with me when I got the call to ministry last year and encouraged me to listen closely to God and to live in His word. Thank you Lord for allowing us to have Steve teach us. He finished strong. Prayers and love for his family and all that will miss him.
God bless you beloved brother in Christ. Thank you for being such a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ while here. You will truly be missed by so many, but we saints know we'll see you again in Heaven.✝️🙌 - Dallas, TX
March 2020 I was jogging and listening to the previous week's Men's Bible Study message and I had to stop there in the middle of the road with tears streaming down my face because the Lord touched my heart to lead men in study by what Steve said. I don't recall the message exactly, but I remember like yesterday that moment. Through Steve's words, encouragement, the challenge that came from his messages/teaching inspired by the Lord, it pricked my heart and I committed to the Lord to follow through. In March 2021 "Finish Strong" zoom men's study started with a number of great guys throughout various states and oddly enough we have been working through the Finishing Strong video series. I weep today because I will miss a guy who on a weekly basis virtually grabbed my shirt, pulled me in close, looked me in the eye and basically said, "Man, we've got this...God's got this!" I will miss the substance of a real man, a real Christian leader teaching from the Word with a yearning to embolden men spiritually, being an impact in their family, at work and elsewhere. Thank you Lord for Steve Farrar and his dedication to you through thick and thin. Sticking it out through the very difficult times not knowing that in his 40's and beyond you had much better plans for him and the impact on Christian men he would have. I feel a family member has left...and he has but for a short stint. A brother in the Lord that I will one day be able to greet for the first and maybe check out a rental car for a road trip. Steve - you will be missed!!!
So sad but God knows best. I bought 5 of his books and others of other people he mentioned in his sermons. I AM BLESEED I HEARD HIM and would continue to hear him speak.
SAd to hear the news! He was a great example of a genuine man who walked the Christian life without hype and lies. The wise man build his house upon the rock
His last verse of scripture to read in his Bible study is by far one of the most important for us all to chew on, meditate and burn in our minds. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:37-40 NASB1995
The Lord gives, and He takes away. He took home a man of God who dedicated his life to Scripture. Praise the Lord.
