4 waves releasing in the span of 3 months after release is insane.
I did not expecrt it coming out so soon
The base game was done for over a year before it actually came out, so they likely spend the rest of that time working on the DLC.
I mean the game was finished in 2021 so yeah no wonder why it is so quick with the Releases
Honestly gives me the vibe that they could have included it in the base game but just choose to make it DLC

This is definitely a lot bigger of a story dlc then I expected and I love the alternate universe characters.

I do kind of wish the reverse world lords had some color changes to their outfits too considering the initial teaser trailer had Fogado be covered with a cloak. I assumed they would look different.

Shout out to the fact Céline isn't the pure opposite of herself but basically a reflection of exactly what she *tried* to be, someone who'd put her nation above all else. I know it's only one line but she just seems like an extreme verison of herself who was able to *completely* remove any guilt or doubts she had. Having bandits executed was already a choice she easily made in the Alear support so I'm honestly excited to see how they play out Alt Céline in general.
Completely agree. When I heard her dialogue I was surprised that it shares values w her “original” self and isn’t something super far off like we see w alcryst. Really cool

@@andimari9194 Alcryst one was actually foreshadowed in his Fogado support! He tells Fogado about his childhood where everyone always compared him to Diamant and it basically said that Alcryst had two ways to deal with that; accept what they say as fact and hate himself, or reject it and hate his brother. Because of Alcryst's kindness, he could never hate his brother, so he directed that hate and pain towards himself. Alternate Alcryst seems to be if Alcryst did the other thing
Alcryst being the strong willed one and the Hounds being good? This looks like a fun alternate dimension. Griss/Gregory and Marni/Madeline look like they'll be super fun to have on our side. I'm guessing maybe after a certain time altering chapter, something went wrong so we have this odd scenario playing out.
Considering Mauvier was kinda a good guy in the main story, I'm worried this alternate one may be a turncoat at some point...

This is an alternate universe where Lumera sealed Sombron off instead. Her successor passed away, leaving no one to unite the 4 nations together, and the 4 ended up having to keep each other in check

Considering Fell emblems can now speak, maybe the Fell side of Alear is now the stronger side
Unless they get a new dragon stone it's not happening. Remember, the reason Alear couldn't transform is because Veyle had their dragon stone and it shattered when they died.

Prob 8 maps in total 2 each for the begging and end and 1 for each continent which is not bad but not really long
Absolutely love they're going for an alternate universe for this, not only it will be interesting to face the opposites of your base game allies, but also and especially being finally able to play as all the Four Hounds, not to mention the completely new character and the lore!

Only thing that would make me more excited for Wave 4 would be if completing it allowed you to carry over the playable characters from the Fell Xenologue into the original story, albeit as characters who do not appear as part of the story itself (similar to how Arval, Sothis, & Rhea functioned in Three Hopes).

@@somebody2772 I don't know if we can or not. I'm only guessing that if we can, they will be "non-canon" and won't have any input in the original story. Unless we are told more via another trailer, we won't know for sure until Wave 4 is finally out.

Seeing Somniel, the peaceful homebase never once invaded, in ruins is terrifying honestly, I am really excited to see what goes down here
Knowing Sommie either doesn't exist or wasn't able to protect the Somniel in this world makes me sad ;-;

@@uberculex you're thinking of Lythos Castle. Lythos Castle doesn't have the protections the Somniel has. The Somniel is accessible only to those with the Divine Dragon's blessing, Lythos Castle however seems to be freely accessible to all.
The memories of going around the Somniel interacting with others and doing other fun stuff like interacting with Sommie (and walking really slowly so he can catch up) swimming, fishing, shopping, training and eating a nice meal to call it a day.
Seeing like this is sad.
Makes sense, since Alear died, it was pointless for people to clean and maintaine the Somniel.
Matter of fact that means no Stewards......curious what became of Vander and the twins in this world

@@ericx6969 Sombron's world used Emblem Rings, not Bracelets, and is not implied to have been an alternate Elyos as far as I'm aware.
The Four Hounds have different names, though.
I don't think the other people are necessarily evil, but they definitely look to be far less kind than they are in the normal universe

Finally they last dlc to a great game! I’m curious how this will be integrated into the main game. Once cleared we unlock the extra classes and maybe unlock a way to make Zephia and her crew good?
Then I suppose I have to do the dlc before I continue with the base game, still on chapter 7 doing divine paralogues and side quests to farm exp, sp, gold haha

@@Hard562010 use Anna, get her onto magic route asap to make use of her ridiculous magic stat growth and get her to high priest for Maximum chance to proc her skill make a killing. Equip her with tiki if you have dlc or byleth when you get him if not. Alternatively you can slap leif on a covert unit and roll the dice with his engage attack as it has a percentage chance to drop 1000 gold after killing an enemy with it in the interim of training up anna
I just love the fact that Mauvier is retainer to Veyle in the divine world and Zephia, griss and Marni are Nel and Nil's retainers in the fell world.
(I also believe nil and nel are the "my brother was drowned and my sister was burned alive" fell alear was speaking of)

Honestly I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet but the one i’m the most curious about at the moment is Yunaka.
Think about it. If we have to battle her in the DLC we’ll be able to see exactly what she was like as an Assassin.
Also I can’t help but wonder if Mauvier would actually be a double agent in this reality or something given what happened in the original world.

I hope they finally add a NG plus and let these characters/classes ect. carry to the main game on a second playthrough. That'd be fantastic, but it might also just be wishful thinking.
Much like Cindered Shadows, new units will join you in the main game once the Xenologue is beaten. If you want to have those units in a second playthrough, best to save it until you beat the Xenologue.

There’s a lot more investment in this game compared to 3 houses, I’ve been holding off a second playthrough until they add NG+ or dlc 4 whichever came first because I don’t want to have to grind SP again and have my bond ring collection essentially erased.
@@fight_and_die1573 I speak from experience when I say this game IS more fun on the second play through IF you own the DLC content. It really is a whole lot better an experience, especially after chpt 10 or so, so if anyone is holding out on getting the DLC but loves the game, this is one case where it does change things up enough to be worth it.

If Alear is aliven't in that world, their Dragonstone must be broken, so we can't just yoink it

It's possible but I wouldn't say garunteed simply because events are playing out differently. Maybe he'll do so for completely different reasons buts it's hard to say for now
@@OriginalGameteer We cannot recruit a second Mauvier, however datamining ( personally and from others ) tells us that we recruit 5 new characters -- which would thus be Nel, Nil, Zelestia, Gregory and Madeline. So Reverse Mauvier is either a villain or dies, but seems more likely to be a villain considering the others are all just reversed.

The bit that really interests me is that part where we see Fogado FIGHTING HIMSELF. Like, this is definitely our Alear, and it looks like our usual friends are arriving late to the party during this story.

Omg I saw so many people say the Four Hounds would probably be playable in the DLC and I didn't believe them. But now I'm so happy they are!! I finally get to play as Griss and Zephia!!!
Also, this definitely seems a much larger storyline than Cindered Shadows might have been. The new characters look amazing. I had a feeling the two new characters would be siblings of Alear and Veyle that also survived, unbeknownst to Alear, but this seems like an entirely alternate timeline. I'm super curious who is the one being stabbed at the end. I'm guessing one of the new characters by either Sombron or Alear.
Also, anybody else noticing a significant absence of Veyle? Wonder how she's going to fit into this story. Can't wait till April 5th! So glad they added all these DLC waves so early.
Veyle could be the main villain this time around I wouldn't even be mad I'd love to see that the evil veyle persona was actually pulled from that world
It seems that Alear in this setting is ded, and that Nil killed him to save Nel after something happened to conclude the main story in the world (Red v. Blue).
Maybe Veyle died with Sombron... ><

I'm personally hoping they're releasing these all so quickly to get onto the next project quicker and announce the remake lmao, I know that won't happen for quite some time, but it would be cool.

@KevinGame3 Pretty sure that they are rushing things so that they can move on to the Genealogy remake. So more DLC for this is very unlikely.
@@CTheng yeah but fe warriors three hopes came out of June of last year if they want to do a first anniversary of the game they need to add him just in time before genealogy remake might be out before the switch 2 announcement probably in sometime this year in q4-ish 2023 right around suicide squad, kill the justice league release date

This looks great, I can't wait!! I'm so excited about everything in it, the new characters, classes, story. I'm still so glad they added a beast and a dragon/manakete type class in the end since those 2 have always been my favorite FE classes (followed by magic classes)

I've been so impressed with the speed of which these DLC's have been released, so often it's easy to lose investment in the game before the extra content drops but here it's been expertly handled!

Leaks claim that this game was completely finished since last year but didn't release due to covid. So that's why all the dlc is dropping very quickly.

Oh THIS caught my attention: We're travelling to a PARALLEL World where everything has gone complete OPPOSITE of what we ORIGINALLY KNOW of the current cast of units and characters? And having more details about the FELL DRAGON themselves sounds interesting enough as it is?! I'm actually excited for this one!
I love how Veyle, Nil and Nel all have black and white hair and Alear originally did too
So excited for this wave! Just finished my first run through so I’m looking forward to play my second run through with all dlc. I just hope we can keep the alternate units of the Four Fangs.

I’d like that too, especially since some of my army’s builds are insane, it will be nice to not have them.
I’d assume it would be like the additional house in 3H. So it’s a completely separate story/levels/gear/etc. Upon completion, there will be some sort of added content to the main story
@Slam I'd hope for games like new vegas and oblivion and skyrim whenever a dlc took me off the normal map I'd always store all my equipment and start fresh with only items in the dlc, it's just a great feeling to utilize the limited items the dlc gives you

Was waiting on the forth wave to see if the DLC would be worth it, and it seems really interesting so I'll get it. Really like that the four -hounds- winds are now playable.

Okay I'm actually excited that we're getting Alternate Versions of the Hounds as playable units. Also 4 more DLC Emblems...did I hear that right?!
Edit: Okay, I think when they said 4 Emblems out of the 7, I think this is what they were hinting at during the Ring Bond Convos with the DLC Emblems being owned by a kingdom in another timeline (I think Hector said he was a Bracelet of Firene(?) in another timeline.) I didn't think they were actually going there for the Fell Xenologue as part of its plot.
Yeah the Emblems are 7, which exactly coincide with how many DLC emblems we have (3H Lords, Tiki, Soren, Hector, Camilla, Chrom & Robin, Veronica).
I think 1 of them was brodia

Yup and it looks like at 0:58 that hector is Firene’s emblem.
And to add to the missing slots, Camilla was in Solm, and Soren is in Elusia.
Meaning Houseslords, Tiki and Chrobin are the ones in Althos.

Also, the Winds have different names from the Hounds, but Mauvier is just... Mauvier.

I wonder if there will be an explanation as to why Mauvier is the same, yet the other three Hounds are alts. Like I get the _gameplay_ explanation is so that we can have playable versions of the other three, but surely story-wise it would make more sense for all four to be different.
I guess because the MU Mauvier is still alive by the end, whereas the others all croak. It could be just that we don't get the AU version at all.

I'm surprised alternate Alfred is still alive. From the way Hector's bond conversations go, I thought the reason 'his' Céline was so much less 'gentle' was because Alfred was dead and Céline had to step it up. In Hector's bond convo with Céline, he remarks how different she is and how he'd like to get to know her, but with Alfred, it was just a more generic 'Yes, my bracelet was entrusted to Firene, so I feel a connection to you'. Well, it was just my half baked theory, after all.

Takes place after the main story of the base game. So yes it does connect.

Oh thought it was after the base game, oh well. Still gonna be interesting to play though.

Very cool concepts very interesting to see the map object is to defeat our beloved characters, what's more exciting is new maps and new class types, haven't get the DLC yet but with this announced I'm getting it for sure.
Honestly was very sad with the Hounds fate. Especially Griss and Dragon Mommy. Will be definitely interesting to see them again.
