I just found your videos. Wonderful!!
We got rid of our microwave, fancy fridge( we just have a small retro one with no ice maker), no dishwasher. I was watching a video of the Carmelites of JMJ in Fairfield. I have turned dishwashing into a prayer. Everything you do is for the glory of God. These videos are wonderful, what a great way to motivate other women. Omgosh, I could go on and on. 🙏🏻

You have been such an inspiration for me to be intentional with my time spent with God. I’ve been watching your channel for a few months now and my home has never been in such a good state. It used to be constant chaos, but I’m finally getting things in order. I think that’s thanks to you and of course God!

@@HopewellHeights Just love you! i have lived with a microwave for 18 yrs, I am one of the crunchiest (just learned that word this year because i was so out of touch). I have done the research. Nothing beats the oven, we're talking about chemicals, money, counterspace, time in cleaning. I'm a mathematician/Actuary and an accountant, for what its worth. But I did the math and science, so I am a Christian, organic farmer, homeschooling, house wife.
-sprinkle some water on your food (so doesn't dry out)
-get some stainless steel jelly pans to cover.
-Patience is a virtue, though it doesn't seem like that long.

If you dont have one already, i would love to see a video on how you stay motivated and focused when it comes to homeschool. Especially in the beginning years with younger children just starting the homeschool journey. With so much info and resources out there it is easy to feel overwhelmed. And with little ones and battling auto immune issues its hard to stick to structured days. Would love your input and experience on this.

I’ve heard a lot of air fryers can be just as bad as microwaves. And they can leach heavy metals. It definitely matters what they are coated with inside. That’s just what I’ve heard, may be something worth looking into before buying🤷🏼‍♀️

We've been microwave-less at our home for over 8 years now. We use our Cuisinart air fryer to reheat food. If it's a big batch of food then we will use the oven or skillet to reheat. I like to keep our kitchen appliances at a minimum. That has worked well for us.

Most leftovers can be warmed up by bringing a 1/4 - 1/2 inch of water to a boil in a pot, turning it down, and then putting the food in the water with the lid on for five minutes or so. A steamer insert would work just the same, although I don’t have one so i haven’t personally tried it. This works especially well for pasta or rice based leftovers. Also any chopped meat leftovers.

Hi Steph! We use a Breville Toaster oven (The larger one). We have used the Breville for years now. They last long so the price is worth it. We too don’t have a microwave (only because it broke) but I have known as well that they were bad so haven’t rushed to replace it for almost a year now (it is an adjustment but we have managed). I have also had to buy smaller pots and pans for the purpose of warming up leftovers. I love the wisdom in your videos. Thank you for sharing them. We are a homeschool family as well🙂 I’m a few years ahead of you. I have only two left in HS now. I love to see how others homeschool, homestead and homemake. Have you found the Classical Liberal Arts Academy? The schoolmaster has many videos on what a real Catholic Classical education is as it was done in history. Even if you don’t learn in his academy, his videos are quite helpful for homeschooling. Also, for the LOH, have you learned about the difference in the Divine Office and LOH? (I know the terms are used interchangeably) but the Divine officer refers to the prayers before they were modified. So basically, there is scripture left out of the LOH. Anything that speaks of miracles, demons, hell, evil & sins of divorce (let me know if that’s true-we read the Divine Worship: Daily Office (Commonwealth Edition) Basically anything that’s hard to hear. I’ve also heard priests say that other priests struggle with the 6th commandment while on that LOH prayer regimen, but it clears up when they switch over to the DO. Anyway, I bet you know all about effeminacy and would love your take on that topic. Blessings!

I can put a 9x13 pan in it and use it for almost all of my oven baking/cooking. I’ve had it about 4-5 years and love it for its versatility and abilities. You have to get a tushbaby to help you carry your baby. I can carry her for so long without killing my arm.
