These are the only teams I believe will be able to win it all in 2024 March Madness, based on their current teams as well as historical trends.

I don't trust Duke at all. They have bad losses to Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Pitt, and now NC State. Their ceiling is so high, but their floor is so low. I could realistically see them losing in the first round or going all the way

Duke is one of my 2 big teams, but I just don’t think they’re going to make it far this year unfortunately. I took a big risk last year having them take it home, just to be disappointed in the 2nd round. I love them, but this isn’t their best for sure.
Also take into account that 44 of the last 45 champions had at least 1 first round draft pick in the same year they won it or future drafts picks in the years to come. As of recent it’s usually atleast 1 first round pick in the same year of winning it 36 out of last 45 times. In that case it would be Tennessee, Duke, and UConn, and Purdue, and Marquette, Creighton that have potential 1st round picks, not auburn, Houston, and Arizona. But anything could happen

This is a great stat, but it might be a little misleading because there is a good chance that the championship run propelled some players into being 1st round picks if they played extremely well and had all of that national exposure during the tournament.
Great video, one thing worth noting: UNC has a 22nd ADJO before playing the ACCT semifinals tmw and possibly the championship if they win the semis. A good showing could move them up to fit the top 21 ADJO metric cutoff! Tennessee also has the SEC tournament games to play, would have to move up from 25 though.
Good point, will have to reassess after these conference tourneys. UNC & Tennessee were included just a few days ago so it fluctuates.

Connecticut has serious depth. Their bench is phenomenal. This is why they win it all again. Nobody can keep up with the huskies. They wear other teams out.

Great video. I dont like picking 1 seeds to win it all because its not fun, but houston is clearly the obvious team to win it this year. I would say currently my teams that could win are Houston, Uconn, Marquette if healthy

UConn winning the title as a 1 seed, 3 seed, 2 seed, 4 seed, and a 7 seed. You didn’t give a reason for UConn not winning it again besides a curse. They are the best in the country

Just looked it up, they were a 4 seed that won it all in ‘97
I feel like Auburn is the biggest question mark this year. COULD win it all, but nobody really knows how high their ceiling is. With their awful draw playing UCONN Iowa state and Illinois I feel like they’re being counted out but could pull it off if they pull the upset
I feel the same way, I feel inclined to take them over UConn in the sweet 16. Big risk but big reward considering the majority have UConn making the final 4.
I’m high on Auburn. Elite offense, elite defense. Not saying they’ll win it all but winning that region is possible, despite it being a tough one as you pointed out.
Keep in mind over the past 15 tournaments no reigning national champ has made it past the Sweet Sixteen!

Houston is definitely undervalued IMO, especially after their big loss in the B12 championship game.

Looking at one game in a conference tournament is a rookie mistake.
You can't have Huston losing in the Sweet 16 just because of one loss. They are still easily one of the best teams in the tournament, making the elite eight, and probably the final four(depending on whether Kentucky gets hot). I think Huston vs. Tennesie will be really close, but it is definitely still winnable. They'll probably lose to UConn or NC in the championship though.

Not sold on UNC, NC state outplayed them. they look good on paper but stats can be misleading.
UNC had a terrible game against NC State, Ingram and Bacot didnt even look like they were trying to get rebounds, they didn’t play very aggressive at all like they usually do, they weren’t doing well at making sure the 2 dj’s didn’t keep scoring, and RJ and Cormac couldn’t hit a 3 to save there lives in the 2nd half which there usually good at.
And NC State 100% wanted this win a lot more than UNC.

no front court scoring to offset off nights shooting from their guards. and they can't 'make a stop when it matters. F4 is reasonable though.
