Good video! How do I change the settings for Apple CarPlay from Manual to automatic and to share contacts in telephone feature ? Or how do I remove my iPhone that was detected and start over with the settings ? Thanks
Hi, When I plug my iphone7 in to my a class the apple car play no longer comes up automatically. I did work but has just stopped. The cable is fine so I’m not sure if I can reset the car?
I have the same issue. I just purchased a GLC 300 a few days ago, and Apple CarPlay worked as soon as I connected my iPhone X with a lightning cable. Worked great for a few days, then two days ago, it stopped working. I connect the phone, but CarPlay doesn't appear. Tried four different cables, nothing. I removed the Mercedes notification on my iPhone, and retried to connect ... nothing. However, an older iPhone that we have DID connect. So something isn't communicating between my iPhone and the car. No resolution in sight. :(
Steve Chappell I just got my « a class » today and CarPlay never showed up. I’m pretty sure i havé it. But I don’t know what to do to make it work. I connect the lightning, music is going on thanks to usb but the screen of the CarPlay isn’t there. Any idea ?
Dominique Cutaia First off, make sure you're using a good cable - preferably the one that came with your iPhone. Have another good cable handy, just in case that's the problem. Now, it's supposed to activate CarPlay when you plug in the phone, but I can't get that automatic feature to work any more. In my Mercedes, I go to Phone menu item (top menu), then you should be able to cycle through several choice ... one of them *should* be CarPlay. If so, select and enter, and the CarPlay screen should appear. Also, make sure your version of iOS is up to date. If none of this works, then I'd advise taking it to Mercedes service, as I did. They got it to work, somehow, and now the prompt to activate CarPlay occurs every time I plug in the phone. Your car is under warrantee, so let Mercedes help you out.
All my music is in icloud via the imatch service and not on my phone. Will iphone connect allow me to access them. Can the phone be connected via bluetooth AND apple carplay? Thanks for response
Edrin Spahiu you can save them on your memory card and play them directly ! but your vehicle must be in parking mood as it’s not allowed to view them while you are driving
