Not a mechanic, just an old woman, but would think it could be your radiator cap, a hose or water pump, hopefully not something bigger. Good luck.

@@valoriesmith8875 Thank you! I’ve been through 4 local mechanics so far. May have to leave the area to get the proper diagnosis. Just don’t have faith in the ones I’ve been to and would feel stupid taking it back thinking they’ll get it right this time

Sorry for your loss. Have you tried a diff mechanic or go back and tell them to find the leak.? Ask them to replace the radiator or follow the overflow tank to see if it's just the hose. Lots of youtube videos for car troubles. Google is your friend.
No, we don't let ourselves be taken advantage of. They are being shitty and assume you don't have a solution . To succeed one has to do their own research to be your own advocate. Plain and simple.

Yes, have tried 4 different mechanics since hubby died. I’m trying to troubleshoot on my own now. Putting cardboard underneath to try and pinpoint where the leak is. Also may try Bars radiator sealant. That was advised.

I think this "van life" vagabond lifestyle (nomadding or whatever they choose to call it) that so many TH-camrs claim is "freedom", is just plain nonsense. Especially for elderly people. I'm sorry to hear of your husband's passing after a long battle with cancer. I lost my Mother to cancer twelve years ago and now my wife of almost a half century is battling cancer, so I have a pretty good idea of what you went through. You might want to consider staying home, near your primary care physician and near major medical facilities. The nomad lifestyle, in my opinion, is a young person's game.

@@grampsradio Some older women are doing amazing out there! Box Can Dee has settled down in a permanent park in Quartzite in her rig. Shes a sweetheart. Also LAVA Lyndi’s Awesome van Adventures is in her 70s and just had open heart surgery. She’s back in her van after a month or so recovery. So it works for some. For some it’s a choice between homelessness or car/van life. It’s sad and shouldn’t come to this but it does. Thanks for your comment!

@@AyahsHope If you're living out of a vehicle, that "is" being homeless and I agree that it's sad. You, however have a home base and I would hold to that.

@@grampsradio We both lost our moms to cancer close together, 2013 for mine. Took care of her here in this house the last 13 years of her life and through home hospice. Terribly sorry to hear of your wife’s current battle with it. Hoping she responds well to treatment 💜
Yes I’m definitely keeping this old cabin in the family. Both mom and hubby passed here. It was my first very own sanctuary. My safe place. I’m teaching the grandchildren the importance of keeping it in the family and protecting the land. I just need to get out and visit friends and family. To travel, meet new people. A home on wheels because I’m not leaving my dogs behind. Home base will always be my safe place.
