  • I broke a motor connector because it was not soldered properly and melted while I was driving it, so I decided to take a video of removing the motor.

    I'm planning of building a boat like this. I was wondering if a 3670 1700kv motor on 6s (I already have 6s 1.3ah 100c batteries) would be adequate for this drive and hull combo?

      @mjetdevelopment  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. With the bigger motor size you will have enough torque to spin it and even more power than me thanks to 6s. A bit lower kv might draw much less amps though.

    ... how often do you have to change the motor because it burns out?

    • @mjetdevelopment
      @mjetdevelopment  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In normal conditions, pretty much never, the lifespan is long. The only thing I need to change lets say every year are the bearings. The damage done to this motor in the video was caused by bad soldering and was not difficult to repair. Also once I destroyed a rotor of one motor because of too high RPM. It should not happen in regular conditions though.

    Quick question is the 3660 3180kv the most efficient motor and fast you found for the M-jet30?

    • @mjetdevelopment
      @mjetdevelopment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With the M-Jet 30, I used 3660 1700kv on 4s. If you use a 3180kv one, use less cells but I think on 3s it will work well, also depending on your esc. Just be careful and check the motor temperature at first

      I am in Europe in a country where they dont ship but was able to purchase it through ebay. I tested this motor with the M-Jet Sprint:)

    Hi Stepan! Can you share the link to get the accessories (shaft, nuts, gasket, etc.)?
    Is that this M-Jet 30 is powerful than the 50mm or 80mm 3D print you also have. Thank you!

      Hi, the M-Jet 60 is far more powerful than the M-Jet 30 and has completely different purpose. I recommend you to buy the accessories on ebay, the sellers depend on your location.

      @@mjetdevelopment Would two of this M-Jet 30 be able to have enough power for a surfboard to go fast like 30-40 kph?

    • @mjetdevelopment
      @mjetdevelopment  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hienkn360 Definitely not. Thrust of the M-Jet 30 with my setup is 3.6 kg, it will probably never exceed 4.5 kg with any setup. 9kg will definitely not be enough for a surfboard. The M-Jet 60 might take a while indeed, it is a co-operation with Julian and now the time plan does not depend on me that much anymore.
