Great video! Very valuable knowledge. I use it on my wells fargo reconciliation since they do not separate the debits from the credits. Makes reconciling a breeze.
Hello, I am so grateful for your videos. I love quickbooks desktop. I just upgraded to 2016 Pro. I learned how to bookkeep in college and started using quickbooks 9 years ago. I am taking on a project that involves getting a client's financial data into quickbooks. We are talking 2 years worth, maybe 20 credit cards/bank accounts. What do you suggest I use to get this data in the fastest? She has not sorted through the transactions to identify categories yet. I will get 2016 accountant version if necessary but have not used QB Accountant before.
This was an extremely helpful video. My only issue is that QBD automatically added a check number when I batch entered transactions. Is there a way to delete the check number once they have been added? Or change to EFT?
So I have a 3 year old version of qb that just got sunsetted. I refuse to upgrade for the time being. What solutions can you suggest to download bank transactions? I am thinking the csv import is the only one, but is there a template for this. It seems the only 3 items in the spreedsheet downloaded are date, amount and payee. So what import type (customer, item, vendor, account) is best used to get good mapping?
If you can’t import Bank Feeds (because of the sunset) you need a 3rd party app like TPI which is $200 to be able to import transactions.. so may be worth it to just update.
I cannot even express how invaluable this youtube video has been for me this year. Thank you very much for posting. I love the trim formula!
thanks.. glad it helps
I was using QuickBooks Accountant 2016
