Yesterday I was at a hardware store looking for some cupboard hooks and I came around this corner and there was this stack of hand crank coffee grinders. I watch you grind your coffee and say I want to do that one of these days. Well yesterday was the day and so I bought one and went home and got out my bag of coffee beans and spent about and hour grinding coffee beans. You are and inspiration and you have snow and I have rain, and a cold wind. You live in the mountains and I live next to the Pacific Ocean and yet we both enjoy winter and the quietness it brings and we both sit and grind our coffee.

Hi Isabel 😊 I’m not sure you go through comments, there has been a lot of negativity and judgement on instagram lately I feel like… People with big opinions tend to be very loud, but there are so so many more of us behind the scenes just happy to see you happy and living your life. I live in Michigan and have a hard time with the cold and darkness too, but am being more gentle with myself this year too. I’m so happy to see you’re letting yourself rest and be present, and take winter for what it is. Remember it’s a time for rest and reflection and it’s okay to not be on the go all the time. Nothing in nature is going at 100%, 100% of the time. Just really appreciate all the hard work you do and look forward to your videos every week. When I saw the snow this morning I breathed a sigh of relief and thought “thank you, now I can slow down”. I’ve always loved winter. I live in Idaho and I totally get it about the snow and the silence. It becomes so quiet that you can hear the flakes hit the ground. The 1st time I experienced that I paused for a few wondering if I could even hear it was so incredibly silent and then the 3 deer by my bedroom window made that a few moments that I will never ever forget! It was beautiful 😍

It's quite interesting that you struggle with relaxing and slowing down. A lot of the food you bake seems to have a substantial amount of sugar. When mixed with coffee, it's challenging to slow your horses!😮great you are creating the sweet eats as gifts for Chrissy 🎄 Love your overall style. 😊

I live in Idaho and I totally get it about the snow and the silence. It becomes so quiet that you can hear the flakes hit the ground. The 1st time I experienced that I paused for a few wondering if I could even hear it was so incredibly silent and then the 3 deer by my bedroom window made that a few moments that I will never ever forget! It was beautiful 😍

It's quite interesting that you struggle with relaxing and slowing down. A lot of the food you bake seems to have a substantial amount of sugar. When mixed with coffee, it's challenging to slow your horses!😮great you are creating the sweet eats as gifts for Chrissy 🎄
