I was attacked in my backyard by three large dog's no collars two of which being pitbulls. They had got all my chickens and injured my goats, came after me, now i have a very angry family down the road mad at me cause they only have two. I feel bad but we had just had a lady walking in the neighborhood get mauled by three large dogs. I wasn't about to be the second one.
There really need to be stronger penalties around dangerous dogs. The laws are way too lenient on idiot dog owners. In many cases, there has to be an initial unprosecuted mauling before a second mauling can be prosecuted. And if you successfully defend yourself and avoid getting mauled, there are zero consequences for the dog owner.
Back in 2012-2014 (?), a problematic neighborhood pitbull was in my driveway. The dog was about 10 feet from where I exited my vehicle. It was growling and barking, and its tail wasn't wagging. I pulled out my .38 snub nose and held it down at my side. Thankfully, I was able to walk backward toward the house with no problems. If the dog had advanced further, I would have done what was necessary. I lived in a rural subdivision, so there wouldn't have been any problems. In the past, the dog would stand at the edge of yards (not belonging to the owner) and snap at passersby. The animal had even bitten his owner's hand.

I love these episodes. I watched them on ASP lite. And, I can't wait for my episode to show up here. It just dropped on ASP just a few weeks ago.
