Saw them at the Austin Psych Fest..just before they came on, a tropical-strength rainstorm started. I said" They'll never play in this.."....and then the lightning started crashing around us. I said" this isn't safe - they can't come out". And they did. They played a full set, next to a river, in a tropical rainstorm, with lightning all around us. And THAT is real rock and roll, people.
soo.. did you film it?
always getting back over the years to this great live performance....the sound is just perfect...esp. the bass line and the instrumental part starting at the second half of the song...it's magic for my ears
9 years after the show these guys still sound amazingly well.
I don't know when i start to listen The Black Ryder, something about 2010 i think. Never mind, i love it. Until now i still listen and i wish Someday see then in a concert
this is by far my most played video on here ,its just superb ...what an excellent band
Same
The best band to come out of Australia in a long time. It's a shame they had to bugger off to the US. At least they're doing well. Come back!!!
Fair deal. But first Europe❤
Saw these guys last night open up for Jesus and MC. Really impressive. Slowdive, BJM, MBV, and Xymox wrapped up in a tight little thorny black box.
Add The Warlocks, Psychic Ills and Wooden Shjips as well.
The Verve + The Black Ryder collaboration would be an open door to heaven...
Richard Ashcroft is Solo now.
LoL
This song is KILLER.
Great song, heard this on my Pandora mix in the car
hell yes- just discovered this band- love them
Ugh they are so good. The new album is amazing.
Yah! Aimee still has an Australian Accent and lovely guitar playing!
What a foursome! Gotta know who the drummer and bass player were for these recordings. PERFECT!!
SOOO happy to get to meet these two last week in Seattle! Super nice people!
Hell yeah!
Badass Aimee killer vocals !!!

Pure Rock! Beautiful. Pretty sure Jim Morrison would love your style.
Lucky Ian to have that lady, and lucky us to have their sound get to known!
Most frickin' awesome. This extended live version is even better than the album track. Would love to have a copy for my ipod & 'puter. Thanks for posting.

Wow. Ian found his soul mate. :)
saw them live, the girl who tours with them and plays bass, my god, what a babe!
Can't understand what she's singing, or I might like this. Need to beef up those vocals.
Any one else think of Kim Deal?
who is the other bass guitarist?
....more banjo
more cowbell....
🤣
@rideboy75 well, besides wolfmother, even though they suck now.
Great song ! it sounds a lot like Stereolab's Contact, watch?v=OKvGOTMLyvk
all this time I thought I was his spirtmate
Who's the bassist?
Malia James. She used to play in the Dum Dum Girls. Now she’s a photographer and music video director.
Now she play with Dum dum girls.
Did the Allman Brothers give these guys some mushrooms?
The Allmans gave them some mushrooms and the British goth/psych rockers gave them some acid.
I cannot understand a word she is saying plus the song just drags on.
Hm, zwaar overdreven, zo goed is 't nou ook weer niet, onverstaanbaar en best saai!
posers
Horrible vocals. Dear Lord.
