  • 👉 When performing the jerk, remember that the first dip is all about that knee bend. Keep the hips from shooting back, as it can disconnect your elbows from the torso, leading to a loss of momentum transfer.
👉 Drive your elbows off the torso and hit triple extension. Triple extension is an integral part of the jerk! So, focus on achieving that explosive push, extending at the hips, knees, and ankles.
👉 Catch the bells with straight arms to ensure a strong and controlled catch. Stabilize the bells before rising up. Remember, press those knees back to stand so the quads remain relaxed as possible.
👉 As you lower the bells, rise onto your toes to minimize the distance the bells need to fall before making contact. This helps absorb the weight smoothly and efficiently. And, use your knees to cushion the impact.
Keep honing that technique and pushing your limits! 💯🔝⁣⁣

Great video! How do you time when to start getting up on your toes to catch the bells when they are going down? I often rise too early when hands are still locked and inadvertently lift the bells higher and make them drop from higher up.

You dont “recieve” the bells with your quads?
