Just won my first 100 difficulty with Crit/Strike Lorien, the slow moving on attack makes it considerably harder but after many failed attempts I managed to get it!
How is it that Dex _still_ doesn't understand how the grenadier genies work? 😅 Just don't run in straight lines, they throw their bombs where you're _going_ to be, so just run in a circle or a zig zag. You've got this lmao
hey dex, any chance you could make a guide of the best talents/spec for every character? i noticed merris has some really crazy summons in the new talent tree
Lol interesting that you're doing a strike-focused video now. Just wait till you max Lorien's constellarium. 49% attack speed or proc 3 strikes on a crit. Both are amazing for strike builds.
Just a thought: While it's not at all a bullet heaven or survivor-type game, I think you might really dig 'Path of Achra' for its theory crafting and eventual broken build gameplay. It's a helluva lotta fun and cheap to buy. Cheers 👍
Hey Dex wanted to let you know if no one told you but the shrine that lets you choose which roll to get is bugged. If you get Banish you get an alternation and vice versa. I saw another video where someone noticed it and they were able to find another shrine in the same run and they chose a different option and got another roll instead.
That unique is fun if you want every legendary at once. You do need the master chance belt and relic to thou. Preferably the heavy master hands with master weapon and neck.
Is this the kind of game where you need to go all-in on either strikes or powers, or can you have a little bit of everything? That seems like it would be more fun to me.
Have you tried Avoron dash build? if you have the mythic sword that increases charge damage and go for fire charge, you can do insane crits. I'v done a 250k crit
earth spike isnt affected by luck bc it works based on the number of attacks performed things like magic missiles, tornados and chains lighting are affected by luck bc they have a %chance to proc every single attack if they arent in cooldown
That Possibility Jewel is a weird bait to me. Intentionally unlocking your selection of gods provides more hinderance than benefit in control over your build/run; while at the same time losing an important gear slot. It could have at least come with a ton of rolls on it to attempt to utilize it. One possible might be to start with it until you lock down 4 Primary gods than unequipping it for the rest of the run; just slotting any jewel picked up along the way. Than you can have the benefit of a potentially 'stronger' build you still have some semblance of control over it.
There is a belt that gives 75% legendary blessing chance (though, even with capped 100% chance I was still getting master blessings before I capped the Legendary options for my gods), sp you could use that Jewel to try to do a meme run with every Legendary in the game.
That particular talent - maxed strike and cast gets +80% bonus damage is bad and it should be pretty obvious why that is. Something like ring/jewel with +80% more gods blessing upgrade (not to be confused with rarity upgrade or new gods blessing) helps but even then it generally takes more than 10 level ups before you can maxed a strike/cast.
The levels issue is why i didn't go for those talents myself on Lorien. They're cool in theory but you do not have remotely enough levels to really use it. Sames true of most +X slot affects. Reality is under normal circumstances you do not remotely have enough xp to use all of them. There's so many talents across all characters that either require way more XP or very specific god combinations, or more than 3 gods. The update is amazing, but they've kind of created a situation where you can't ever fully utilise all the cool stuff they give you. Personally to save on banishes i'll grab 1 level of a skill in a slot don;t care about, then banish that skill. It costs a level up, but it cuts down the number of banishes you need a lot which can be really helpful as if you have no empty slots you can't be offerd a skill that goes in it unless its one you have. You can't do this for every slot, but it can be useful for some specific scenarios.
Edit: disregard this. As Dex and @norunaround1624 point out below, my assumption was wrong :) Dex, you mentioned that upgrading to master doesn't give you the bonuses from the earlier levels. I don't think that's right. I think the way the leveling goes is that adept level 1 is the same as common level 2, epic level 1 is adept level 2 (and common level 3), and master level 1 is epic 2 (and adept 3, and common 4). So this would mean rarity upgrades gives the same bonus as gaining a level in the lower rarity.
That's not what I meant, in the past when you upgraded the rarity from lets say level 3 expert to level 3 master, it would not count level 1 and level 2 as master, instead it made a weird calculation where numbers didnt work out at all. Like it was more than expert 1 + expert 2 + expert 3, but it was less than master 1 + master 2 + master 3 changes. So the best thing to do was to just wait until you got a rarity upgrade instead of leveling up and then taking a rarity upgrade. The reason I mentioned this here was because the rarity upgrade to master didn't show an increase in chance, but master has a way higher chance than expert. So either it happens in the background as it used to be, happens but is fixed or doesnt change it at all anymore
@@DexTag that's interesting. I never noticed before the current patch, but it seems like a rarity upgrade scales the same way as a level-up at the lower rarity. Like, Split-Second attack chance increases by 1% per level at all rarities. Going from adept to epic also increases by 1%. Therefore, wouldn't epic level 1 be equivalent to adept level 2? I'm not sure if the damage scaling matches. The wiki for this game isn't great lol
I believe he was referring to the specific blessing Split-Second Attack. Where rarity upgrading didn't provide any improvement to the blessings chances of attacking again as it would have with it was a level-up; in other words only the damage is increased as opposed to triggering conditions. His Earth Spike Blessings likewise having a requirement to hit certain amount of attacks to trigger also was not improving due to rarity upgrades but level ups instead. On the other end of the spectrum Lightning Bolt (the power) will only lower its distance requirement to trigger with a rarity upgrade, where level ups increase the count and damage only. Also it doesn't work in that linear progression that as you are suggesting. War Pact is a good example of the way the scalars work: At an Epic level 1 it has a 12% value and raises 12% for each level after that. So Epic level 2 it a 24% value, where a Master level 1 is only 16%. Even Master level 2 at 32% is less than Epic level 3 at 36%. In the case of Epic quality blessings it is better for the short-term to get the level up increase before a rarity increase; but after a few levels into a blessing the rarity upgrade provides more benefit than that next level-up would have.
I hate the update. First devs decided that grinding for loot alone is not grindy enough so they added grinding for skill tree. Then they decided that game can be accidentally fun, so they took a poop on the balance. The fact that several times you died with this build is good demo of that.
Can't wait for him to discover his final abillity where the strike synergy really starts to pop off.

Wait with that unique necklace you can get every GOD?? There has to be a crazy combination with that item.
Did they add a Night time in the dessert? Why is it so dark
Pretty sure it’s always been that dark, if you get inferno it lights up the whole screen haha
I did a recent run where I used master sickles from mort and master rampaging strike they work together and I was hitting over 100k dmg

if u do the build on skadi whit adept earth strike and the 225% more dmg to adept blessing, it does more dmg
i finally finished 100 with him using the crit+strike build and using only mort sickles + soulthingy

@@longers1028 Im not sure why you compare a level 1 with a level 2, that wasnt the point in the video
It decreased your split second attack from purple to blue it didn’t take any blessing away from you
you can get over 200k with kronts warchief stomp
