As an Icelander I do love my Björk. It is hard to say "what she is like" since she makes songs in all kinds of ways. My favorite Björk song is rather hardcore : Declare Independence. There is a good video from this same lineup. An extra perk for being Icelandic, one might meet Björk at the grocery store :)

I happened to watch this whole concert yesterday! She's just incredible. When the song gets crazy towards the end, it's actually a sample of a track called 'Freak' by electronic duo LFO. Mark Bell was one half of LFO, a friend of Björk and frequent collaborator/producer of her music. Sadly, he passed away in 2014.

It's the subject of a lot of her songs, and definitely a major characteristic of her as a live performer.

The Bjork concert I saw was just her, in a tiny freezing chapel, backed only by a string quartet lit mostly by candles, you could say it was a slightly different vibe to this. The seats were hard, we were cold, my nose got full of soot, a nice American man asked me back to his hotel for drinks but I had to get a train home because I was too poor to get a new ticket. She was so damn funny though, like 2 hours of her whole back catalogue reworked on violins and her belting them out two metres away from us, and then these screwball covers of 1960s camp pop music. Anyway this was a lot of fun too lol
Same here. This song is very underrated in my opinion. The lyrics are very hard on the stomach. After being in a very toxic relationship, I started to really connect to this song and what it is saying.
Funny fact about this particular show is that she after Desired Constealltion song, went off stage and cut her bangs, because she feelt like it, in the beginning of the show she did not have bangs. Also during this Volta tour she suffered alot from cold and being sick, but she pushed through!
