    Great review, bike still looking good. I have almost 9 thousand miles on mine, and standard tyres still plenty of life in them. Bike holds up well for riding in all types of weather. I usually just hose her down, and blow dry. It would break my heart to sell the guzzi, so like yourself, im holding on to mine, looking forward to watching your Europe trip, keep her lit.

      Thanks for your comment. I genuinely do love the bike, even though it's been a headache lately. Here in NI I rarely ever see another V85, which is one of the things I love about it.. ( I hate owning the Norm ) Short of financial ruin, the V85 will remain in my garage until my kids inherit it...😂

    Hey Bucky - nice review update!
    Here's to a great euro trip !! I recommend visiting the factory, it has a great museum, but mostly I recommended it for the local riding area, stunning!
    I've just got my bike back, following a rear end crash on my way to the French MotoGP, came back to me as a Cat N write off, just battle scares really, no great harm to the bike or myself, just a couple of cracked ribs - safe riding 👊

    Sat on the newest model at the ABR festival this morning, changed the tubular back frame to a cast aluminium thing that looks crap, the front headlight/fairing adjustable section has changes also to a cast thing.
    The handle bar switches are new and very un pretty, I like the previous ones are weird but work well. Changed the oil pressure sensor on mine also (main dealer All Bikes Rochdale, great mechanic)
    Have a great trip ✌

    You got her looking lovely, she's just like mine. I've done many add on's to suit my needs for the type of riding I do. The only thing I want to do next is fit more aggressive tyres, they tend to not pickup punctures as often as conventional treads.
    Look forward to your trip blogs. Safe riding. Enjoy👍

    I've got to say that for a bike that's been riden through 2 salty winters it looks pretty damn good. What screen did you install and how do you like it? I have the same bike and I love it.

      Thanks for stopping by. It's the ERMAX screen. I believe it's the tallest one they make in this model... As far as the bike looking good. I posted a community post this morning showing what the bike usually looks like during winter here. It is because I want to keep the bike for a lifetime I don't want it to get too Ratty looking.. I do like my bikes to look good as well as ride them all year round,

    I have over 20,000kms on mine now , I also did a Utube review on mine a few months back I’m in Australia and have the 2021 100th anniversary model. I changed my tyres to the Dunlop Trailmax mission “ a fantastic long lasting tyre and grip ( like peg scrapping in corners no problem) and also great traction in wet . BUT the front has less tread depth from new Rear 11.5mn and front I think 8.5mm - they done this so both wear at same time . I’m going to put a TCK80 on the front next time and still have trail max mission on the back . I’m in the process of getting a rear shock made up from a suspension company in Australia ( IKON suspension ) as I feel when the bike is loaded up rear shock to soft . I used SM- Motech pegs on 2 previous bikes and agree they are fantastic. What map did you get ? Factory or something else ? I haven’t done the D- Cat Y- pipe yet , I fitted the Mistral V- boast and the Velocity stack” both a massive difference to smoothness and some power increase.I had one problem it was the sonic wheel , which also required resetting the valves as well . But that’s been my only issue. I love your attitude about keeping the bike “ I’m the same mate “, I have have a Ducati, Aprilla and a “ Italian made Benelli 1130 Trek “ all had their issues but I do love Italian style

      Thanks for stopping by... I agree with the rear shock. I am about to load it up with 30-40Kg of racks and luggage for this trip, I am 90kg I always end up maxing out the pre-load on the rear to try and take the bounciness out of the rear. A new shock is an upgrade in the future. (DAMMIT I thought I was done with buying parts 🤣) I considered the Mission tyre, but ultimately I went with the Dunlop TrailMax Raid. which is going onto the bike next weekend. You wont regret the TKC80. and if you go offroad like Adam Riemann you wouldn't regret a Matching rear. 👌
      Below is an ASMR video I made of the Guzzi sound with the Full decat system fitted. I bought a Guareshi Moto UpMap and currently am running the V85 21 EU ZARD FR map

      You mentioned the sonic wheel. is this the crank position sensor that is located behind the front motor housing? I am handy with spanners and can st my own valves, but the crank sensor is beyond my skill set.
      I went to your channel to Sub, and it seems I have already sub'd and hit the bell 🤙🤙

    Thanks for the review. The Ermax screen fits to it as it was an original one ;) Im gonna switch to it from my current combination which is "short ori plus additonal deflector" . Hope it will bring some improvement

      @@niczek123 if it helps I am 5'9 and find the screen has helped a lot.. I also needed the aero mods on the front of the tank. Between both items I can ride at 80mph with an adventure peaked helmet with no issues.

    • @niczek123
      @niczek123 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@buckymoto1784 Do you use earplugs? The short ori screen with a deflector added results in having a main air flow directed to a middle of a visor. I cannot ride 60mph without air plugs longer than 10km (using GT Air2 so quite "silent" helmet, also have tank deflectors) im 182cm. I assume in your case the ermax directs the air flow over your helmet if there are no issues with the peak .

    I had a similar intermittent starting problem last year (albeit on a Triumph) that turned out to be a starter solenoid on its way out.. Ten quid fix and easy to swap out.

    • @buckymoto1784
      @buckymoto1784  23 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@MrB1967 my starting issue isn't quite the same.. The bike starts OK. But, on that 1st start push it will stop after 5 secs. 2nd push. It'll start on the button. But will die 15 secs later. Then 3rd attempt. It will if I'm lucky keep running, but be very lumpy for 30 secs then smooth right out and run 100% perfectly... This was why I mentioned in the video that I used to call it a cold start issue becasue it started happening in January. When it is usually 2deg outside.. But now it's 15-20deg it is still doing the same thing. So not really a cold start issue. More of a 1st start issue.

    Ciao ho anch'io una V85 TT euro 5, dal motore della mia moto quando fa caldo esce un rumore tipo ta ta ta ta ta ta che non mi piace, secondo me non è battito in testa. Il rumore lo fa quando riparto dai 2000 ai 3000 giri. La tua moto cos'era alla fine che non andava?

    • @buckymoto1784
      @buckymoto1784  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You are getting Engine Knock or others call it Pinking!! This is one of the main reasons a lot of people change the Standard Catalyst wonder the motor to a Decat system. Based on Google Translate telling me you are Italian I guess it is very warm where you live right now. your motor is getting too warm which in turn causes the knocking/Pinking that you hear. The standard exhaust holds too much heat which makes the motor run hot. Changing to a Decat system lets the motor breathe better and pushes out the exhaust gases instead of keeping them for longer inside the standard exhaust system. Changing the Decat makes the motor flow faster and better making the motor run cooler eliminating the ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta you hear...
