Do you own a 15 inch one? Hp has stated that the envy and the Spectre laptop are “15 inch laptops in a 14 inch body” thanks to the nearly borderless screens and I was wondering if it was true. I actually need a compact computer to use on the go and at uni but the 13 inch options looks a bit small to me although that might be cause I’m used to a 15 inch. Does it feel compact and light? How is it in tablet mode? I’d use it for note taking as well and I fear it might be too big and heavy in tablet mode

Also get ready for a lot of fingerprints on the screen 😂 but besides that it's a great laptop, screen colors are perfect for movies and sports, great speakers, and looks really good.
Just got this laptop a couple of weeks back. Don’t regret one bit. Actually love it Got the 16GB Ram unit as that’s the only one available. Had some issues with the drivers in the beginning but now it’s fine. My only complaint is that it’s too bright for the minimum brightness especially in the dark hahaha

From the off position about 15-18 secs. I usually don't turn it off completely and leave it on sleep/standby mode so I could simply use the fingerprint button and it is on the desktop screen in a sec.

If you order directly from HP's website they have one that is exactly the same as this one but the model # is 15m-ee000. It is currently on sale and the only difference from mine is that it includes the stylist pen and it's a WiFi 5 instead of WiFi 6. Not sure if the one you are getting from Walmart includes pen.

It depends. HP ships those laptops with 2 different 250 nits displays. The good one has a panel with a code that starts with A while the bad one has a code that starts with B. Can't remember the exact codes, sry.

I have the 13.3” Ryzen 7 4500U, I fell in love so much, I just ordered the 15.6” Ryzen 5 4500U. I’m a heavy Microsoft office user, plus internet and videos, 8 gb seems way faster than any 8 gb intel I’ve ever owned.
Fan is quiet, usually don't even turn on it seems with light usage (email, web surfing), but when I watch TH-cam at 4K or using it to edit videos, it comes on at a high speed but it's not disturbing.
I'm sure it is good for most gaming. I couldn't tell you exactly since I don't game the traditional way of having the games installed on the PC. I game with Stadia in which the processing happens externally. Other than that it works fine when I was playing Destiny on it.
Dell 7506 has better specs to start with and the limits are high from 4k resolution and high memory capabilities. Quality I can't speak on that as I have not experienced that Dell brand before.

However the model 15-ee0047nr is currently on sale at HP.com for $699 and is more of an upgrade to what I currently have plus double the memory at 16Gb and double storage of SSD at 512GB NVMe M.2. QUESTION 2: No issues at all. The more I use it the more I love it. I recently love however if my Wife is login in under her user name and I place my fingerprint on the reader and it swiftly switches the user instantly. What I wish I had gotten was the stylist for it, but I will wait until the stylist price drop first. QUESTION 3: Touch screen is always active even in laptop mode. However, the keypad gestures are pretty good for zooming and scrolling too and less fingerprint smudges on the screen. QUESTION 4: Refer to Question 1, I would pay $699 and get the 15-ee0047nr. I believe the 13z-ay000 touch starts with the Ryzen 3, you can upgrade to the Ryzen for a little more $$ QUESTION 5: Currently HP.com has the better deals than like BestBuy.com, as supplies last, seem like they are out of stock of some models. As an owner of two defective 15.4" envy x360 laptops, I cannot recommend this product. I purchased my first in December, used it for about 8 weeks, and out of nowhere, the screen flipped upside down as if it was in tablet mode. I attempted to reboot it, but the computer never came back on. No LED indicators, no signs of life. Long story: Since it was still under warranty, I called the support center and spent about two hours on the phone before they asked me to send it to their service center for a repair. Two weeks later, I received it back, tried to turn it on, and nothing happened. It was as if the service center did nothing but forward it straight back to me. I sent it back a second time (after another 2 hour call). A week passed, and the tracking information showed that it had never been received. I called them, waited on the phone for the default hour or so, and was assured that they'd received it but the tracking information hadn't been updated. Three weeks passed, and the tracking information never showed received. And I hadn't received any update from HP. Once again, I spent an hour waiting to get someone on the phone, and I finally reached someone who spoke clear English. I asked what happened. The representative said he had "no visibility or contact" with the service center it was shipped to. I asked how it was possible their own service center couldn't contact the other service center. He said he didn't know but that it's always been like that. I received my laptop back about 10 days later in the same condition I'd sent it in the first two times. I got back on the phone explaining how I wouldn't send it in again and that I'd like a replacement or refund. They said they couldn't rebuild it but would send me a similar laptop. They sent me a refurb with slightly better specs. I received it today. Guess what happened when I tried to turn it on. Blank screen (I can't make this up). This replacement/refurb has a different problem than my original. My original shows no signs of life, whereas the replacement unit shows LED power indicators and makes boot noises. Short story: Due to my experience with HP, this product, their service center and their escalation department, I will say that I have no confidence in this company, so buyer beware. HP makes most of its profits from big companies: defense contractors and so forth. So a single individual like myself is not on their radar. If your product works, great. If not, good luck beating the odds!

After testing it, you can charge it with a USB-C cable but the adapter must be at least a 45 watt adapter.

you will be fine if you only use this indoor, I would not go out where there too much sunlight. If you're indoors, you will be fine.
