@@ronaldmcdonald3173 How bad are they? Im going to be racing down there for the first time this year for the skusa event and was really hoping they would enforce track limits.
Owen Harper the mychron 5 actually offers much more data acquisition. You can use the gps to track your speed through turns and find time. Almost everyone runs them at National races so I was curious.
Excellent race Ryan! One thing I noticed is that when you guys were rolling before the start, none of you guys adjust the carb to leaner? Is it not needed?
By ducking down you reduce wind resistance on the high speed straights sitting back up just before you brake helps with braking by adding the resistance back. The taller you are the more advantage it gives.
Ryan Norberg thanks. I’m guessing your in buttonwillow this weekend. Tracks about 10 min from my house, going to see if I can make it out to watch some action. GL.
Looks like things are done different in the USA. That has to be the slowest rolling start I've ever seen for Karts and the curb hopping, do you replace your chassis after every race ???? B^) This is a video of one of my favorite tracks in Queensland. Cooloola Coast Kart Club in Gympie. "th-cam.com/video/RJv8o-EJ3oA/w-d-xo.html" sorry about the shaky video, cheap camera now replaced with a GoPro8. 1st lap is warm up, second lap is Form Up, You can see the start speed on the HUD on the video. Of course the speed is indicated in KPH. 60KPH is approx 35MPH. The first corner is a ripper, uphill approach, off camber, double apex with uphill exit. Class I ran here was TAG 125 restricted Heavy. I'm running an X30. The restrictor knocks off about 8 to 10 horse power. Heavy class, driver and kart together must weigh a minimum of 180KG's. I've watched a few of your videos but this is the first racing one. Must say I like your instructional videos, very well done.
Also of interest is 3 digit numbers which are illegal in Australia. No track here has a density of 100 so there is no point having 3 digits. Also a zero in front of a number is illegal.
@@henryhardachre9603 I like starting races really slow that’s why the start is that slow. Most starts are at 30 mph. Most tracks aren’t that rough either. It’s just this one. Really cool track in your video!
@@NorbergNation I really like CCKC's track no part of it is flat. Looking forward to filming with the GoPro 8, the old camera really sucked. I've moved since that video so I'm not sure when I'll film CCKC again. Also I run Open class now, no restrictor, getting the full 32 HP now ! I've pulled 115KPH on the Emerald track. I think that's about 72MPH
I think its cool that Ryan can compete at such a high level, but still makes time to make video's for those of us just getting into the sport.
Thanks man! I really enjoy it
Orbit
That Crg lad got a stonking start
That's Olin Galli , The most winner brazillian nats champsionships, its about 10 champsionships and he is 25 right now.

Got to love the track limits

The battles were amazing bro
uff amazing race excelent drive
Nice job!👍🏼
Fun to watch! Thanks for posting.
I love the sound
Also, great job carrying speed through the tight corners
Nice drive man! Is minus 273 gloves are comfortable and great?
Yes! very comfortable. Best pair of gloves I own.

Why do you use magnet speed sensor and not the gps speed? What is the difference?
Was there no penalty for running super wide on the exits of the turns, just wondering
no
The poured NASTY dangerous concrete death bumps now to prevent it

Just curious, why are you running with the mychron 4? But awesome driving, loved the video
No need for anything better

Andre Lafond mychron 4 uses gps and when your racing you want to know the kart temp, revs from the mychron
Intense.
great race
Track limits?
should be like here 👍
Excellent race Ryan! One thing I noticed is that when you guys were rolling before the start, none of you guys adjust the carb to leaner? Is it not needed?
Its not needed in my opinion. Not many people do it.
Hi Ryan. Great video man. Why do you lean forward before the straight?
Trying to get every advantage possible

@@henryhardachre9603 it helps get weight off the rear axle. I believe it helps the engine but I have no evidence of this. Hahah
that 321 looked like he was running a "friday line" and wasn't using the extra rubber on the track, nationals are ruff
Wdym
you should do a video on Rok the Rio!
I see you do allot of tucking in the beginning to mid way through the straights. You guys seeing noticeable gains from that quick 1-2sec tuck?
bryan034 Williams there is no real advantage. It is more a mental thing for me.

@@bryan34wable Thanks Mate!
Were you and 331 communicating?
@@iansmith6573 that makes sense
Yes. Telling each other to work together
im relatively new to karting, what do those hang gestures mean between the person
in from of you and yourself?
It is just a way to communicate with another driver. Most of the time it means "let's work together"
Hello Ryan ! Do you know why your engine does such a deep noise at low/middle engine rpm ? mine does the same.. cheers
IPK57 probably a bad spark plug cap
Why lean forward for just a second? Why not the full straight?
Its more of a mental thing. Helps me feel like I'm pushing harder
331 was trippin
I race by my self and i did allot of races but never understand why people are waving to the guy in front of them can some one tell me what it is
Just trying to communicate with one another. We were telling each other to work together to pull away.
It seems in this case Ryan was sort of telling the guy "keep going as fast as you can, I'll pass you when it's easy so neither of us lose speed".
@@dominiquecallan148 oke thanks fot the comment

In Europe we stay INBETWEEN the white lines 🙄
Yeah, F1 never has track limit issues.
Track limits left the chat.
A bit of a nonsense track...one race one chassis gone
