This from the POV of the Grim Reaper. He is mad at the queen for doing her job. He takes her at the end. “I’m the chill down your spine!” Creepiest lyrics of all their songs.
*Hunter* introduces us to another (3rd?) character in the QOTMS rock novella... if you have followed the QOTMS album, we know about the Queen, her love interest, and her love interest's interests... this character is a much stronger and foreboding entity than those we have seen so far... the driving primal predatory bass line that Ale plays to move the song along is certainly a crowd favorite... punctuate that bass line with Pau's drums and yeah... fear and foreboding with spurts of hurried panic... in newer renditions of this song, they did a bit of a change in this song from the original... toward the end, Pau is doing the low voice saying "I'm coming back; There's no escape" instead of using a backing track like they have in the past... she repeats this phrase several times, getting louder each time, until she ends the run with one of her known screams "THERE'S NO ESCAPE!!!"... Fun Fact: Pau has three screams/yells that she does... the first, most well known, one in *Evolve* , one in *Z* , and this one in *Hunter* ... Fun Fact: Pau's home/practice drum setup has 14" and 16" floor toms... in concert she uses 16" and 18" floor toms... TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Per the band’s vlog #26, in Hunter the Grim Reaper appears and delivers a fatal wound to the Queen at the end of this song. However, since the Queen has multiple personalities and is psychotic, it is easy to see that the Grim Reaper is simply a manifestation of either the evil side or of some other personality inside her, and that she commits suicide. Perhaps one personality believes that it is killing another one of the personalities. This song could be the Queen’s conscience reasserting itself, letting the evil side know that the war within will never end.
It's confusing because they have introduced a new character, the Grim Reaper. They explain this in Vlog 26 but it is very confusing if you haven't heard it from them. Also, this is one of the songs that Ale sings when Dany is sick or having voice issues. Some have suggested that she should always sing it to distinguish the character from the two characters represented by Pau and Dany. In the Teatro concert, Pau does a narration during the buildup, "There's no escape, I'm coming back!" It's really creepy and adds a lot to the song, IMO.
As everyone has already said the Hunter is the grim reaper. The hooded skull in the video behind Pau. Also in the physical media artwork. Much of the warning army thinks Ale soul sing this one as it’s a new character in the story but she’s not a fan of singing lead. The real question (that’s left for each listener to decide on their own) is the reaper “real” or is this yet another voice in her mind? Either way the result is the same (and the “war paint” Dany wears in the concert represent that outcome) and we’ll hear her final words in the next song.
Thank you for commenting. Yes, for me it would be in the mind as there seems to be enough evidence that that's where the struggle is. Still, it works as a story either way. 🙂
This is a good one couldn't hear Pau's part which was a drag. The Teatro performance is better in that regard but for the story this is an important song. Thanks for doing this. 🤘 ⚡🔥

Thank you! 🙂
Pau and Dany said in a vlog that this is the Grim Reaper coming back to take his due, which is The Queen!
Keep in mind the art work gives hints to the story. They truly use all artistic medias to tell this story.
Great Reaction. Ale sings this song occasionally also.
Thank you! 🙂

Yes, that's more or less the way I was thinking about it although I wasn't onto the Grim Reaper. Thank you for commenting. 🙂
I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Please take care of yourself! Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you so much. 🙂
Future Broadway production? QOTMS needs to be discovered by the rest of the world.
Yes! 🙂
