First step to start any preparation for any compititive exam please read syllabus thoroughly, and make understanding the syllabus.
Once you are comfortable with syllabus that is atleast the topics in broad range the second step analyse your own swot your strengths weaknesses opportunities and threats. The analysis must be in sincere way.
Third you should prepare as per your swot. All the best.
