Thank you! Just bought a seat for PC driving sims, the seat rails had no instructions, so i didn't know which way up or which way round to put things. Should be really easy to do after seeing this, thanks again.
If you pinch these in a vice it also pinches the channel and restricts the whole thing moving. Also as many have stated here and as I have found, the pull up bar does not 'lock' in place after giving it the vice treatment but simply falls off. The bar will operate perfectly well if it is effectively too wide for the space between the runners and sprung into place after the sliders are bolted into place.
I have these exact same adjusters and when I put it in my vice and did this, it doesn’t lock in place. I can still pull it apart by hand. Not sure what to do?
What? I’m literally more confused than ever…. The people I got it from said it bolts in the other direction… flat side to seat bracket….. also the bar facing the other way…. Why can’t I find clear instructions?
@@joesarks I did! Somehow the right rail locked in a different position. I was trying to unlock by hitting hard with a hammer but didn't work and it was a bad idea cause the edge of the rail had bend. Then I reassembled the rails with lifting bar from the seat and manual I apply force by hand on the locked rail. I apply some WD-40 before doing anything to help with friction. Hope it works for you
I tried to do it the way shown in this video, i put it in a vice and pressed and it didn't stay together, it fell apart, so i guess I have to do it the way shown in the following video : th-cam.com/video/j8lsa7U6CbQ/w-d-xo.html
How on earth did you get the rails to come out? I can’t seem to figure it out. I saw you out it on its side and press but I guess I am doing something wrong when I try? Mind saying briefly explaining how to do it?
i cant do it either... i have tried for several hours and in fact i think i have broken one of the sliders... i cannot get the slider to slide out so i can mount it... i also don't have one of those big arse vices which don't seem to work anyways going off all the comments... loosing my bloody mind... faaarrkkkkk
@@sovereignsoultribe i did eventually figure it out. I had to press the press that compresses against the crease of a brick wall in my backyard and apply force lol
Well I must appolgise if i have talked too much. Its not my intention to be over verbal when making videos but sometimes the extra explanation helps people understand the process. I can however understand that this may not be to everyones taste. I will however in future try and be a little more consise so as not to upset or offend people like your good self who preffer the more direct and "less is more" approach to video narration. But thanks for watching and sharing your point of view as it is much appreciated.

i have exactly the same problem. just wont lock in. might have to pull the welder out

Sorry if this is a dum question but how is this universal because the sliders have a fixed width?

u can stretched the slider to make it wider and basically it fit to any seat and base..
My left rail is stuck and doesn't move at all.

I think as long as you pull the lever so the rails can slide they will either slide out the front or the rear.
i tried with wd40 and it worked....just needed lots of wd40

I haven’t been able put my seats in for 4 months this has been harder then doing both my axel’s 😡
