Nicki Minaj gave better advice and very often Mariah would roll her eyes and make snide remarks while Nicki gave ACTUAL advice based on the contestants performances. That’s what they needed. Not someone who’s just showing up for the paycheck. But that wasn’t what I was referring to when I replied. The comment said “Mariah was so nice on Idol” and I said it was a lie because she was a very nasty person more times than one.

On her album, it must give credit to the actual writers. Actually it does. It gives credit to both Peter and Tom of Badfinger.

I think what some people forget is that you don’t have to be a singer to know if a version is good or not. What Nicki said is true because if anyone has heard Mariah’s version of the song, you would know that her version is the GOLD STANDARD of how to sing this song. Not only was Mariah’s high notes stellar (obviously) but also her low notes were unparalleled at the same time (which I think she doesn’t get enough credit for). You can just tell that Amber wasn’t fully confident in singing a song that needed so much vocal flexibility. She did good, but definitely not even close to what Mariah had done.
She's a Soprano, of course those low notes are hard for her; her voice shines on the high notes. *Mariah* is also a Soprano but an extraordinary one! 👑
